The Grounds returns to AIA Vitality Park

In its first season post-pandemic, The Grounds is offering up an exciting movie line-up, curated beverage selection, expanded food options, and upgraded amenities

The Grounds hits the ground running when it opens to the public on October 12 with a plethora of entertainment options. The outdoor cinema experience is back at AIA Vitality Park, situated by the harbour with the Hong Kong Observation Wheel and the city skyline looming.

With the cooler weather now upon us, it’s the perfect time to catch a movie with friends outside. The big screen at The Grounds will show a range of films, from Oscar-winning masterpieces like Everything Everywhere All At Once and Avatar: The Way of the Water to local productions like A Guilty Conscience, Anita, and Table of 6. Furthermore, the highly anticipated premiere of Greatest Days, a movie based on the same name musical by the iconic boyband Take That, will be showcased in Hong Kong for the very first time there. All moviegoers will be provided with high-fidelity screening headphones for a fully immersive watching experience.

There are three ticket category sections: Classic, Prime, and Luxe. In the Classic category, guests now have the option of solo deck chairs, ideal for larger groups of friends or families who wish to accommodate additional guests within their 4-person pod. For a cozy and intimate setting, the Prime category offers options for additional guests with either premium chairs or bean bags.

Finally for the Luxe category, The Grounds offers premium leather sofas. It has also partnered with The Upper House to present a special luxe bed option for couples and those seeking the ultimate luxury experience, complete with complimentary house red, white, or champagne.

Those who love to knock back a drink will be delighted to with the elevated “pre-theatre” experience and its curated beverage selection. There is a Stella Artois branded bar, an interactive Monkey47 cocktail experience and branded bar trolleys from Mumm Champagne, and Sainte-Marguerite Rose Wine. Drink in The Grounds will be served in specially designed metal cups, to help reduce single-use plastics.

No cinematic experience will be complete without some bites, which The Grounds has collaborated on with BaseHall. A mobile ordering system is in place to help you get classic cinema treats like popcorn to gourmet cuisines such as burgers, Thai dishes, Japanese ramen, and more. Gelato Messina from Black Sheep Restaurants will offer the sweets with a dessert selection to satisfy your sweet tooth.
