Island Shangri-La: brings us Enchanted Wonders this Christmas Holiday

This Christmas holiday, the Island Shangri-La is taking us down Yuletide memory lane with an Enchanted Wonders-theme programme that will bring bliss to the whole family

Since igniting the Christmas tree lights on November 24, the Island Shangri-La has been a beacon for family winter festivities. From the immersive Santa’s House, kids workshops, and enchanting Christmas market at the Level 6 hotel lobby featuring the Wonderliner, to delectable dining experiences, wellness programmes and staycation offerings that make the hotel a home away from home. The Island Shangri-La made sure that is something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

The range of family workshops will thrill parents and their littlest ones. Apart from the Immersive Santa House where children can meet Santa Claus and have the encounter immortalised in a photograph from now until December 26, there are plenty of sessions available where they can create their own The Shangri-La Airship, Nutcracker and Christmas wreaths. And don’t forget the Enchanted Wonders Escape Room – which sounds way cooler and less Squid Game: here, you will play against time in an adventure where you release the airship and deliver the Christmas joy before dawn.

Beyond these experiences and in line with its theme, a brand-new Christmas advent calendar collection is also on offer including a premium version that comes with LED lights, a movable propeller and ceramic ornament is available.

When you stay at the Island Shangri-La, the specially designed Christmas Wonderland Escape staycation package will turn your December holiday into a warm and memorable experience. This particular package includes a daily breakfast for two adults and a child and comes with a HK$1,000 hotel credit. In addition, the family can also partake in the Immersive Santa’s House Experience and be gifted a takeaway festive afternoon tea. This offer is available from November 9 to December 26 and starts at HK$5,300.

For families with wellness in mind, the Blissful Holiday Wellness Getaway package will be their best bet. Rejuvenation is centre stage in this staycation with two 60-minute treatments at Yun Wellness. This package starts at HK$6,800 for two adults and a child and includes daily breakfast – the offer lasts until December 28.

When it comes to gastronomic experiences, the Lobby Lounge will feature The Shangri-La Wonderliner and a range of festive set menus and winter-themed afternoon teas that remain available until January 7. For a grander feast, Cafe Too provides a sumptuous festive buffet. Diners will be spoiled for choice as the menu includes roasted turkey, Boston lobsters and snow crab clusters. However, the highlight for the young guests would certainly be Santa Claus himself – who will make special appearances during the dinner session on Christmas Eve and also during both the lunch and dinner buffets on Christmas Day.

For those who want to go all out, the Lobster Bar and Grill and Michelin-starred Restaurant Petrus are unveiling their festive menus. Lobster Bar and Grill offers a three-course Christmas Brunch (HK$988/adults and HK$588/child), and an optional two-hour free-flow is also available. Dinner can be chosen between a four-course (HK$1,488/pers) and a six-course set dinner (HK$1,688/pers). You can round off your meal with the Lobster Bar’s signature mulled wine and/or a Christmas Bellini.

Restaurant Petrus on the other hand provides a lavish Christmas Day Set Lunch and Dinner at HK$1,488 and HK$2,388 per person.

For the sweet tooth, the Shangri-La brand is known for its sumptuous chocolate offerings. This season, the Island Shangri-La goes full throttle with The Shangri-La Train Chocolate and Chocolate Peony, the exclusive Enchanted Wonders’ The Shangri-La Airship Chocolate, Chocolate Suitcase Penguin and Chocolate Nutcracker. But why not “Go big or go home!”, the Christmas Ornament Piñata and DIY sets with Gingerbread Houses and Chocolate Christmas Trees to really bring in the fun. However, if it is that golden ticket you want, check out its Chocolate Bars for a chance to win a mystery prize.
