SAG Award-winner and Korean superstar Hoyeon (Squid Game) joins Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline in Apple TV+’s newest thriller series Disclaimer

This Apple Original series is a new psychological thriller series from multi-Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA Award-winning director, producer and cinematographer, Alfonso Cuarón. Cuarón will write, direct and executive produce the series through his production company Esperanto Filmoj.

Internationally acclaimed actress Cate Blanchett is also an executive producer on the show alongside Cuarón. While Kline, who is making his series debut, joins cast for the highly anticipated series. The show also includes Academy Award-nominees Sacha Baron Cohen and Kodi Smit-McPhee. As well as SAG award-winner and Squid Game breakthrough star, Hoyeon.

Based on the novel of the same name by Renee Knight, Disclaimer, Blanchett fulfils the role of “Catherine Ravenscroft”. Ravenscroft is a successful and respected television documentary journalist whose work has been built on revealing the concealed transgressions of long-respected institutions. When an intriguing novel written by a widower (played by Kline) appears on her bedside table, she is horrified to realise she is a key character in a story that she had hoped was long buried in the past. A story that reveals her darkest secret. A secret she thought was hers alone. 

Hoyeon stars as “Kim” who is ambitious, hardworking, and eager-to-please. The character knows that working for Ravenscroft could lead to her big break.
