If you’re looking to relax, private residences and luxury villas are the way to go. This is especially the case when you’re going on a beach or ski holiday with a group of friends or partner. While Seminyak is still one of the most touristy spots on the island, it’s a convenient place to be situated if you’re looking to hit up some of Bali’s trendiest beach clubs, brunch spots and quirky cafes and boutiques. Very few villas, however, are able to offer a much-coveted spot on the beach.
New luxury Noku Beach House, managed by leading international high-end villa marketing and management company Elite Havens, is one of the rare exceptions. Sat right on the beachfront at the end of a quiet lane, the six-suite villa has been designed by award-winning interior designer Alex Zabotto-Bentley and comes with a car, driver, personal in-house concierge and a team of 25 professional staff to take care of you. Following a colour palette of light turquoise and blue with Moroccan accents, the interiors boast an impressive selection of antique Indonesian artefacts, artisanal tableware and a rooftop terrace built from a 100-year-old pier from Borneo.
Each of the six elegant bedrooms feature their own balconies, overlooking the water or the gardens, herringbone tiled wall bathrooms, kimonos, headscarves and sarongs showing off a one-off Noku batik design as well as sustainable glass water bottles. Aside from the main swimming pool, Noku Beach House also offers a collapsible tennis court and an exclusive spa with its own oasis pool made with handmade decorative tiles.
The rear of the villa is home to a private bridal or VIP suite with direct access to a roof terrace and a private pavilion. The place can comfortably cater for over 200 people (think: weddings or a fabulous VIP party) as it can for an intimate family or group.
