Lou is a Hong Kong native of French-Chinese descent. Growing up, she attended both local and international schools, where she picked up five languages, and her unique sense of humour from her Eurasian upbringing. In 2016, she began posting short Snapchat videos about her bicultural upbringing and life. She then started a YouTube channel and Facebook page where she shared longer-form content. Her videos celebrate Asian stereotypes and humour, especially, her love for rice. This soon created a community called #RiceFam which is also the name for her fan base. Lou continues to gain popularity from her multilingual personality which differentiates her from other Hong Kong YouTubers. Recently, she has participated in TED Talks and is working on filming her first movie.
