US Open champion DeChambeau adds another major title to storied career

On Sunday, June 16, golfing superstar Bryson DeChambeau cemented his place among the game’s all-time greats, claiming his second US Open championship with a thrilling performance at the Pinehurst No. 2 course

The 124th edition of the prestigious US Open featured a star-studded field competing on the challenging North Carolina layout, with tight scoring and lightning-fast greens testing the world’s best players. DeChambeau, a Rolex testimonee, entered the tournament in impressive form, having tied for sixth at the Masters and finishing runner-up at the PGA Championship earlier this year.

Showcasing the precision, consistency, and resilience that have become his hallmarks, the American navigated the course with remarkable skill, carding rounds of 67, 69, 67, and 71 to finish at 6-under par and claim a three-shot victory. His meticulous preparation, innovative approach, and unwavering determination were on full display as he joined an exclusive group of multiple US Open champions.

“To follow in the footsteps of legends that have come before me, and for Rolex to have supported them throughout their careers, means the world to be a part of that family,” said DeChambeau after the triumph. “I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of the Rolex family.”

Rolex’s long-standing commitment to golf was also evident, with the Swiss watchmaker serving as the Official Timekeeper of the US Open since 1980. Several other Rolex testimonees, including Ludvig Åberg and Hideki Matsuyama, also turned in impressive performances, underscoring the brand’s deep ties to the game.

DeChambeau’s victory at Pinehurst, the site of the USGA’s headquarters, was a fitting finale to the 1,000th USGA championship, cementing his status as one of the premier players of his generation and a true heir to the legends who have etched their names into the storied history of the US Open.
