Bang & Olufsen and Ferrari launch The Ferrari Collection

Sound meets speed as Bang & Olufsen teams up with Ferrari for The Ferrari Collection

It always makes for an exciting partnership when two giants from different fields come together. Sound system maker Bang & Olufsen is teaming up with luxury automobile maker Ferrari on a series of headphones and speakers.

The first batch of products in the series includes the Beosound 2 home speaker, Beoplay EX earphones and the portable speaker Beosound Explore, followed by the Beoplay H95 headphones in October. These products are tied together through a striking shade of red for that unmistakable Ferrari brand signature.

“There was a strong sense of history in the making as we came together to create it”, says Bang & Olufsen CEO Kristian Teär. “It goes all the way back to the start for B&O and Ferrari. The founders, Enzo Ferrari, Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, were visionaries, who redefined their industries by challenging the status quo. Their legacies ring down through the decades to push both brands to new heights to this day”.

“The combination of best-in-class performance, graceful aesthetics and meticulous craftsmanship brought B&O and Ferrari together to create the collection. This is elevated by the unrivalled heritage of both brands, making this collaboration one to remember,” Teär concluded.

The products marks a departure from Bang & Olufsen’s traditional approach. “Our classic speakers are meant to naturally blend in with people’s homes while also standing out for their beautiful design. This collection is different. They’re statement pieces,” says Christoffer Poulsen, senior vice president of business development and strategic partnerships at Bang & Olufsen. “Much like supercars, they make themselves seen and heard everywhere they go”.

In The Ferrari Collection, The Beosound 2 delivers a 360-degree home audio experience that fills any space and is certain to catch every eye as well with the design anodised in Ferrari’s iconic red at Bang & Olufsen’s Factory 5 in Struer. It also features the iconic Ferrari emblem below the grille for that signature sports car look.

Meanwhile, Bang & Olufsen’s flagship headphone Beoplay H95 coming out in October is also given a Ferrari inspired makeover. Besides providing its well-known audio quality, the headphones incorporate Ferrari’s jet-black shade with laser-etched Bang & Olufsen and Ferrari’s Prancing Horse logos to match. The custom titanium drivers are furnished with soft lambskin leather, 38 hours of non-stop listening, and adaptive active noise cancellation by simply rotating the earcup aluminium ring. The titanium speaker grilles have also been anodised in a rich red hue under the earcups for this collaboration.

The Beosound Explore is a fully dust and waterproof portable speaker. It is is anodised in red and black, laser-etched with Ferrari’s Prancing Horse, and comes with a striking black carabiner. Packing up to 27 hours of playtime, it has both aesthetic and functional qualities.

Bang & Olufsen’s most powerful true wireless earphones, the Beoplay EX, is also given the Ferrari touch for the collection. The right earbud houses a striking black foiled logo of the Ferrari emblem, located under glass poured in the iconic red, cut and polished to provide a mirror-like shine. It comes with a wireless charging case for up to 20 hours of on-the-go listening. Packed with six microphones and intelligent beam-forming technology, the Beoplay EX can be used for business calls or pleasure.
