Grand Hyatt Tokyo teams up with Pokémon Sleep on wellness packages and menus

Grand Hyatt Tokyo has collaborated with Pokémon Sleep on a special range of wellness experiences. Pokémon master David Ho checks out what’s on offer

From July 1 and August 31 2024, Grand Hyatt Tokyo is offering stay experiences and menus inspired by the Pokémon Sleep app. Just like the sleep monitoring game, these offerings are intended to bring about memorable moments of wellness and rejuvenation.

There will be a Pokémon Sleep Suite that recreates the world of Pokémon Sleep. Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s Chairman Suite has been transformed into the cozy world of Snorlax and friends, with a living room design inspired by the woodland glades of the game’s Greengrass Isle. Guests can relax in the glamping-style living space filled with Pokémon Sleep artwork and plushies galore. When they are truly ready to hit the sack, there will be soft Frette bed linens and comfortable Simmons mattresses typical of Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s premium suites for them to snooze on.

Three is usually a crowd, but not when it’s Snorlax.

There is also an in-room dining menu comprised of dishes faithfully adapted from Pokémon Sleep, from the Lucky Chant Apple Pie to electric blue Craft Soda Pop. These are accompanied by original inventions from Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s chefs, including a gourmet Snorlax Burger and a breakfast featuring original Snorlax and Pikachu Pancakes.

You ok, babe? You’ve barely touched your Snorlax and Pikachu Pancakes.

If booking the Chairman Suite is a bit too much, another option would be the Pokémon Sleep Stay packages. These are available for only 10 standard rooms per night and offers exclusive amenities, decorations and dining. Upon entering the guestroom, guests will find a dozing Pokémon Sleep Plush, while a Snorlax Die-Cut Sleeper Towel Blanket is spread out on the bed to help them have a peaceful night’s sleep.

It also comes with an exclusive breakfast plan to leave you recharged like you just got healed at a Pokémon Centre. Held in The French Kitchen, guests can enjoy a breakfast buffet as well as Snorlax and Pikachu Pancakes prepared by our expert chefs. Original products including tote bags and t-shirts put the finishing touches on a dynamic Pokémon Sleep experience.

Other dining establishments at Grand Hyatt Tokyo have also been inspired by Pokémon Sleep. The Oak Door has two spectacular burgers to celebrate the game’s first anniversary. One is a 460g gourmet Snorlax Burger, inspired by the 460kg heavyweight Pokémon. It is made up of 100% American beef burger, bacon, cheddar cheese and smoky tomato relish, in a striking blue bun that recalls Snorlax’s fur.

The other is the Pikachu Dessert Burger for guests with a sweet tooth. Chocolate and banana sundae is liberally garnished with fresh cream, banana, pineapple, chocolate sauce and salted caramel sauce, and set between yellow buns and decorations that mimic Pikachu’s ears and tail.

At Fiorentina, Jigglypuff’s Seasonal Fruit Flan is available, along with a charming Pokémon Sleep Crunchy Matcha Chocolate and a range of sweets inspired by the game’s delicious desserts, including vanilla Pokémon Sleep Biscuits and Riolu’s Ginger Cookies with a gentle cinnamon fragrance. These limited treats can be purchased individually or as a set to delight Pokémon fans everywhere.

Gotta try it all!
