The new and improved 2020 Jaguar XE is released in Hong Kong

The new and improved Jaguar XE just made its debut here in Hong Kong at the Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Causeway Bay. The XE is a stylish four-door saloon car that was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.

While the interior was ample by the standards of technology in 2014, it aged quite quickly. But Jaguar has answered the people’s prayers and updated it, while sporty curves and aggressive LED lights make for a very brawny exterior. The styling is derived from some of the marque’s other cars such as the F-Type and the E-Pace, but the design is much more striking than that of the previous XE.

Some of the new features of the XE including improved bumpers and updated LED headlights, making for a more aggressive front and rear end. The interior looks a lot more welcoming than before, too. Jaguar has also added a Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with Apple CarPlay support as well as a wireless device charger, ensuring that the driver is always connected to the world.

Jaguar design director Ian Callum says: “The XE’s uniqueness is its totality. Customers get a complete package of progressive design, innovative technology and extraordinary driving dynamics. We don’t do ordinary here and the new XE personifies this. My team and I get huge satisfaction out of improving a car we’re all so familiar with; we’ve lived with it, we understand its character and it’s a wonderful opportunity to make a great car even better. With the new XE, we’ve done that in every way imaginable.”

The new XE is a huge step up from the previous model in every way. The driveability is better, the design is sleeker and more aggressive, and the interior is far superior. Jaguar says that the car accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 6.5 seconds, which is quite fast considering that it has a two-litre petrol engine and is able to comfortably accommodate four people.

Head down to the Jaguar Land Rover showroom to take a look for yourself. We’re sure we’ll see plenty of them knocking about on the streets of Hong Kong very soon.
