Kim Jones‘s first ready-to-wear collection for the Italian luxury brand was inspired by the five Fendi sisters and his own circle of friends. Using a neutral colour palette of beiges, whites and browns, and expert tailoring, Jones showcased his talents and unique take on womenswear.
“Fun isn’t always about bright colours,” he said via the show notes. “It can be about really luxurious self indulgence, which pleases the person wearing it more than anyone else.”
The designer and artistic director also paid tribute to the late and legendary Karl Lagerfeld using the “Karligraphy” monogram on tights and silk dresses, which were worn with embellished slip dresses and wrap detailing.
