In recent years, wellness has evolved far beyond being merely a health trend to become an integral part of contemporary living. This shift was thoughtfully explored at PENT. Open House, held under the theme “The Kinetic Sanctuary”, hosted by UPPER DEC, the official importer and distributor of Poland’s luxury fitness brand PENT. in Thailand, at its newly opened showroom on Pradit Manutham Road.

Bringing together interior designers and figures from the luxury design community, the event centred around a timely question in contemporary residential design: what role should fitness and wellness spaces play within the modern home? Increasingly, home gyms are no longer viewed simply as functional areas dedicated to exercise. Instead, they are becoming spaces for restoration, self-care, and mindful living — occupying a place alongside living rooms, dining areas, and curated corners of art and design.

One of the highlights of the event was a panel discussion featuring Supakorn Thepvichaisinlapakun, founder of Dsign Something, Rattawut Chansritrakul of Architects 49 House Design, and Isariya Kuhapremkit, founder of UPPER DEC. Together, they explored the future of wellness spaces and their growing significance within the context of luxury residential design.

What makes PENT. particularly compelling is its perspective on fitness equipment. Rather than positioning itself simply as a manufacturer, the brand approaches each piece as a design object, or even a work of art — capable of integrating seamlessly into the architecture and interiors of a home.

At a time when aesthetics are valued as highly as performance, the conventional image of bulky black gym equipment is giving way to meticulously crafted pieces made from walnut, oak, and ash wood, complemented by premium leather and polished stainless steel. Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Poland, each piece reflects a commitment to both functionality and craftsmanship. The result is fitness equipment that feels closer to bespoke furniture than traditional gym apparatus, allowing wellness spaces to blend naturally into the overall design language of a residence rather than stand apart from it.

Another defining aspect of PENT. is its extensive approach to customisation. From materials and finishes to highly personalised details, each piece can be tailored to reflect the preferences and lifestyle of its owner. In doing so, it embodies a contemporary understanding of luxury, one that values individuality, craftsmanship, and personal expression as much as exclusivity.

Ultimately, “The Kinetic Sanctuary” was about more than the unveiling of a new showroom or product collection. It invited a broader conversation about the meaning of living well today, and how our homes can be designed to nurture physical wellbeing, mental balance, and quality of life in equal measure.
