Following the release of My Dearest Assassin on Netflix, the character of “M” quickly became one of the most talked-about names of the moment. From the character’s layered charm to the film’s intense action sequences. Behind the role is none other than Sivakorn “Porsche” Adulsuttikul, an artist whose journey in music has spanned many years. Today, he steps into yet another chapter of his career as a solo artist under GLIIDE with the official name “SVRN,” alongside the release of his latest single “WHY” — a slow-burning track filled with lingering emotions and unanswered questions. In this exclusive interview, #legend_th sat down with him to talk about new beginnings, the journey that shaped who he is today, his return to acting after several years away, and the world of “SVRN” that is slowly beginning to unfold through music.

#Legend_th: What was the beginning of your journey into music?
SA: I actually started out as a competitive dancer. I joined TO BE NUMBER ONE from when I was around ten-something, and I was also part of Kamikaze when I was about 13 or 14. After that, I kept making music continuously, then became part of Nine by Nine and later TRINITY, before eventually becoming a solo artist now.
#Legend_th: How has the experience been as a solo artist under GLIIDE with the official name SVRN?
SA: I think my musical journey has become much more dimensional. It feels like I’ve had more time to really discover myself, to understand what I genuinely like and what I want to communicate to audiences. As I’ve grown older, my emotions have become more nuanced. When I write or make music now, I’m able to add more details into it, not just lyrically but also in terms of ideas and even instrument choices. I think getting older allows you to see things more intricately.

#Legend_th: What were the most memorable and challenging parts of working on “My Dearest Assassin”?
SA: My Dearest Assassin marked my return to acting after around six or seven years, which is quite a long time. There were so many things about the experience that left an impression on me. Since I’ve mainly worked as a musician for years, acting felt like a completely different craft that I had to re-learn and re-adjust myself to. It requires a very different skill set altogether. I had to train both physically and mentally, and also reshape the character so it would suit my own body and instincts. During filming, I needed to keep the character with me all the time. At the same time, I was also training for action scenes and fight choreography continuously to make everything feel natural to me.
#Legend_th: Between music and acting, which path do you feel represents you the most?
SA: Right now, I’d choose music. It’s not that I dislike acting at all, instead, I’m very grateful to have opportunities within the entertainment industry. But if you ask which craft feels the most natural and closest to who I am at this point in my life, the answer would definitely be music.
#Legend_th: What inspired your new single “WHY”?
SA: The inspiration behind WHY came from myself, really. While working on this album, we created many songs together and constantly talked as a team about how we were feeling at the time. I had this concept in mind where I wanted the album to feel like a gallery of paintings, with each song representing one piece of artwork. I brought that idea to the team, and together we refined it into something more balanced.
WHY came from the thought that the older I get, the more I question my own emotions — why do we even have feelings in the first place? Whether happiness or sadness, why do certain things stay in our minds even when we desperately want to forget them? Why do painful memories seem easier to remember than good ones? Things like that. If I had to define the core of the song, it would be the question: “Why do we have feelings at all?”
The team then helped sharpen the idea further with the line, “You touch me once, and I feel it forever.” It’s almost like a single thought touches you and remains there permanently. I found that really interesting. After that, we kept developing the song together, and having Max from The Darkest Romance as producer helped bring everything together in a much more refined way.

#Legend_th: What do you hope listeners will feel after hearing the song?
SA: Honestly, I don’t really expect anything specific. I think when you tell your own story, there’s always a certain depth that belongs only to you, and people outside may not fully understand it. But having Max produce the track made it much more accessible emotionally. He really studied my work deeply. The language he used felt very close to how I think and speak. He took some of my abstract feelings and translated them into things audiences could connect with universally. For example, the idea of “feelings” became represented as “you” within the lyrics. So people might interpret it as love, or feelings they still carry for someone. At the core though, I never wanted to force a single interpretation. I’m simply talking about my own emotions, and however the fans choose to interpret the song is completely fine with me.
#Legend_th: Who would you consider your personal legend or role model when it comes to your work?
SA: If we’re talking about someone I deeply admire in music, it would definitely be G-Dragon. He’s someone who still makes me feel amazed by music and has always been a kind of spiritual leader for me creatively. As for acting, that’s a bit harder for me to answer right now. But if there are names that immediately come to mind, I’d say Leonardo DiCaprio and Heath Ledger. From the films I’ve watched, their performances were absolutely incredible.
