“…Since 1896, when Georges Vuitton first devised the Monogram to distinguish his father’s creations, the motif has evolved far beyond its original purpose and has become one of fashion’s most enduring symbols. Today, as Louis Vuitton marks its 130th year, the four-petal flower continues to shift and renew itself with a creative energy that feels constantly in motion…”
Once stamped across the House’s iconic trunks, the Monogram now finds new expression in fine jewellery through the Colour Blossom collection which was first introduced in 2015. Within this universe, gemstones are sculpted rather than merely set so light and volume move in quiet harmony. This season, the House builds on that language with more than 28 new creations and introduces a gemstone that brings a distinct shift in mood.

Sodalite takes centre stage. With its deep navy tone and quietly magnetic presence, the stone is rarely seen in contemporary jewellery, which makes its introduction feel both unexpected and considered. Its opaque surface is traced with fine white inclusions that recall distant galaxies or sea foam, and only the most saturated shades are selected in keeping with the House’s exacting standards. Transforming sodalite into jewellery requires exceptional precision.
Each stone is carved into a bombé form, a softly rounded three-dimensional silhouette that takes up to five times longer to achieve than traditional flat polishing. This technique allows the Monogram flower to emerge with a sense of depth and softness while catching the light with subtle intensity.

Seven of the 28 new pieces are dedicated to this distinctive stone, ranging from star and sun pendant necklaces to an elongated sautoir and an open ring that pairs a navy star with a single diamond. The composition feels restrained yet striking.

Pavé-set designs further heighten the play of light, surrounding the central stones with halos of diamonds. The result depends on absolute precision, from the polishing of gold to the careful placement of each stone, creating a refined balance between brilliance and shadow.
Beyond sodalite, the collection unfolds through a rich interplay of materials. White mother-of-pearl and vivid green malachite are paired with diamond-set Monogram motifs, creating a contrast that feels at once organic and sharply defined. Meanwhile, the much-loved pink mother-of-pearl is reintroduced through refined pendant necklaces, designed with a quiet simplicity that lends itself effortlessly to layering.

At its core, Colour Blossom is guided by a spirit of self-styling. Each piece is created to be layered, combined, and reinterpreted with ease, allowing the wearer to compose a look that feels entirely personal. In doing so, Louis Vuitton reaffirms what it has long understood—that even a 130-year-old motif can continue to evolve with quiet confidence, remaining both timeless and unmistakably of the moment.
