Celebrated simultaneously across the globe, the Renaissance Day of Discovery 2025 showcased local character and spirit through inspiring experiences from 12–18 November 2025.
Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel joined over 30 Renaissance properties worldwide under Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio to spark curiosity and foster connections at every moment. Guided by the theme ‘Layers of Discovery,’ the celebration invited guests and visitors alike to draw inspiration from Bangkok’s art, culture, and local stories.
At the event, guests experienced the charm and unique character of Bangkok through a variety of immersive activities. Highlights included a Storytelling Tour linking the hotel’s interior design to nearby landmarks such as the Erawan Shrine, participating in almsgiving at Wat Pathum Wanaram, and visiting Ban Bat community to witness skilled artisans handcraft traditional alms bowls.
Within the hotel, guests also enjoyed special pop-ups and live demonstrations of silk weaving, highlighting how silk is elegantly incorporated into the hotel’s interior design. The experience extended to cultural connections with the Jim Thompson House Museum and the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, celebrating the enduring heritage of Thai silk craftsmanship.
The celebration didn’t stop there. The hotel also hosted a DIY Fresh Flower Garland workshop, allowing guests to craft their own garlands while connecting to Pak Khlong Talad, Bangkok’s vibrant flower market, a fragrant symbol of the city’s local life and culture.
In addition, the hotel transformed R Bar into a lively theatrical space to mark the Renaissance Day of Discovery 2025. Guests enjoyed the brand’s signature punch bowls, regional Thai cuisine from all four corners of the country, and contemporary music blended with traditional Thai instruments. The evening culminated in a stunning Khon performance, ‘Rama Battles Ravana,’ showcasing the art of classical Thai masked dance.
