August 26 is International Dog Day! To make this day extra special, we have compiled a list of pet-friendly restaurants in the city where you can treat your furbaby to a fun day with delicious food, great company and friendly atmosphere

The luxurious Rosewood Hong Kong welcomes you and your furry friends to their private dining service. The best part of the service is that the hotel does not set weight limitations on your furry friends – all pets are welcomed, from big to small.

Rosewood’s all-day dining menu for the pets includes farm-raised pork confit, buttered carrots, braised Australian beef, green peas, and more. Homemade cookies, dried beef jerky and biscuits are also on offer at snack time. Advance pre-orders are also available according to special dietary requirements or food allergies.

The Lawn

Planning for a luxury coffee chat or snacking this weekend? Head to this secret garden for sips and pop-up collaborations inside the Upper House with your furry friend. Located in the city’s heart, The Lawn at Upper House is an open garden with numerous food and beverage options. Approaching Mid-Autumn festival, its recent pop-up features mooncake delicacies from The House Collective.

Opened to the public from Monday to Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm, four-legged friends are warmly welcomed. Guests can check the availability before their visits as the space is a hotspot for private events.

The Murray

Have you ever imagined an afternoon tea date with your furry besties? Hong Kong’s pet-friendly hotel, The Murray, opens the venue for your dream-come-true moment with your doggies. Don’t worry about Hong Kong’s rainy seasons – Murray Lane’s semi-outdoor settings keep you dry from the rain.

So, what does The Murray offer you and your pups? The Murray’s afternoon tea set comprises various themed selections of handpicked gourmet treats for your pups to enjoy. The menu is available at the restaurant or in guestrooms

Route 99

Luxury is not about money but about the experience! Located in the heart of Tseung Kwan O, Route 99 is a perfect place to check out after a seaside walk with the dogs under the blazing sun. This pet-friendly American restaurant is decorated in pink and inspired by late-19th Century American diners. A grooming service is available for pets here.

Not limited to that, it also provides a stylish neon light corner for snapping those Instagram photos. Highlight dishes include mushroom omelette, waffle, and texas burger, as well as not a pet menu featuring pancake and pizza.

Hjem

Here’s where you can enjoy rare Nordic dishes in Hong Kong with your furry friend. Hjem, which means home in Norwegian, is a cosy hideout. One of the few restaurants serving Nordic dishes in the city, Hjem offers a range of cafe-style food and beverages. Menus are not limited to smoked trout smørrebrød but also include a Norwegian cheese platter and kokekaffe, which is steeped coffee.

With a focus on details, the overall interior is inspired by Nordic design and furniture, lending a sense of ease and comfort to guests.

Little Bao

Do you want to experience something fun and experimental like cooking dishes with your four-legged friends? Little Bao opens its outdoor space to you and your fur baby! From various baos, including pork belly, fried chicken, and LB beef, to sharing dishes of drunken clams and truffle fries, diners can enjoy quality time with good foods.

Moontone

The Pantone colour-themed café, Moontone, is a pet-friendly space in Prince Edward that welcomes pets every Monday, except on public holidays. Its pastel-toned walls, Japanese tatami seats, and the faux tree in the middle of the cafe bring a sense of whimsy to the space. Make sure to dress your furry friends up for a fun photoshoot.

Must-try item at Moontone includes their signature yoghurt mountain smooth icy drink. The cafe also offers desserts and snacks for pets.
