Vista: A new Italian dining journey at the former Aqua at One Peking

Just in time for Christmas, the Aqua Restaurant Group opens a new Italian restaurant named Vista on top of One Peking in Tsim Sha Tsui

Located at the former home of Aqua, this new addition to Hong Kong’s vibrant dining scene is set to bring “The Real Italian Deal” to the table. Vista promises to send you on a journey of bold home-style flavours from different regions of Italy.

But instead of the rolling hills of the Italian countryside, the “vista” on top of One Peking is the stunning sky-high backdrop of glittering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island.

To maximise the view and create a veritable “garden in the sky”, the restaurant is outfitted with intimate dining booths and tiered tables framed with greenery.

“From the moment you step into Vista’s lobby you are surrounded by luscious greenery and plants. We are bringing guests the chance to dine in a garden in the sky and enjoy the very best Italian dishes – ‘The Real Italian Deal’,” says Aqua Restaurant Group’s director of Operations, Alex Bellafronte.

In addition, by January 2023, Vista will unveil a lively 3,000 square feet cocktail bar with “sensory new experiences” and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing dramatic harbour views on the 30th floor above, championed by Creative Bar director Lorenzo Coppola.

When it comes to food, executive chef Andrea Mura envisioned a range of Italian delicacies from appetisers of crispy-thin pizza and cicchetti (the Venetian version of tapas, which are served at traditional bàcari bars) to handcrafted pasta and grilled seafood platters. The latter is one for Instagram as the seafood platter is styled in a glorious ocean symphony of lobster, calamari, prawns, octopus and scallops, to be shared between two people.

Signature dishes include BBQ pulled pork maritozzi sandwiches with crispy crackling. Followed by Italian Saffron and sausage risotto and Alba white truffle tagliolini, a traditional recipe of Piedmont twinning thin ribbon pasta with the region’s treasured ‘white gold’ truffle. To round off the meal, they offer the all-time favoured Italian dessert that is their home-made tiramisu, which comes in three different flavours: traditional mascarpone, pistachio or hazelnut.

the all-time homemade favourite table-side Tiramisu is created in front of your own eyes – and uniquely comes in a choice of three different flavours: traditional mascarpone, pistachio or hazelnut.

If it all sounds like too many options to choose from, Vista has created a tasting menu for the Christmas season, so that guests can try a little bit of everything of a “real deal Italian” cuisine.
