Rolex Perpetual 1908
Rolex updates the Perpetual collection with this new addition (HK$172,000). The Perpetual 1908’s name is derived from the year that Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf first used the name ‘Rolex’ to mark his creations. This new watch features a slim case crowned with a bezel that is part domed and part finely fluted. Available in 18-carat yellow or white gold, the case features a transparent case back that allows one to see its technical sophistication and movement in full glory. The 1908 is equipped with the new calibre 7140 that was just unveiled this year, which enables the 1908 to display the small seconds, as well as the hours and minutes.
Hublot Big Bang Unico Nespresso Origin
It’s cool to keep it green not just with aesthetics, but also in terms of sustainability. This special Hublot and Nespresso collaboration (CHF22,900.00; HK$198,500) sees a timepiece with the case, bezel, crown and pushers made from recycled aluminium capsules. The recycled coffee grounds from capsules are transformed into watch straps – a rubber version and a second Velcro fabric version. For the fabric strap, Hublot has collaborated with Singtex, one of Nespresso’s partners who was already using recycled coffee grounds to produce a fabric called S.Café. This is limited to an edition size of only 200 pieces.
