Hong Kong-born, London-based designer Robert Wun had one of the biggest moments of the night at the 2026 Met Gala. Under the theme “Fashion is Art”, the rising couturier dressed several guests, with his bold, dramatic creations becoming some of the most talked-about looks of the evening. Below, we showcase his incredible seven pieces
Ananya Birla

Ananya Birla opted for a structured black blazer with the voluminous skirt. The most eye-catching element was the oversized metallic silver skull helmet-mask adorned with various objects, blending gothic, avant-garde and high-fashion elements into one look.
Audrey Nuna

Audrey Nuna brought drama in a bold white gown with black paint-splatter and beaded embellishments. The outfit featured structured shoulders and floor-sweeping silhouette. She finished the rebellious look with an oversized black-and-white patterned hat and minimal black makeup.
Lisa

Lisa delivered one of the most unforgettable moments of the night. As a Met Gala committee member, she made a powerful entrance in a custom Robert Wun gown – a shimmering white and silver mermaid dress heavily embellished with crystals and sequins. The most theatrical detail was the striking pair of 3D-printed arms emerging from the dress. She completed the look with a bold blue diamond necklace that perfectly matched her nails.
Gustav Magnar Witzøe

Gustav Magnar Witzøe, one of the world’s youngest billionaires, wore a striking black and white avant-garde suit from Robert Wun’s Spring/Summer 2026 couture collection. The suit featured exaggerated sculpted shoulders and a body-mapped optical illusion print that created a surreal, muscular effect across the chest and legs, giving the look a powerful and futuristic edge.
Jordan Roth

Jordan Roth wore a sleek beige velvet column gown with long gloves. A large, abstract beige mannequin-like sculpture rested on his shoulder and head, with one hand gently touching his face. The surreal detail added an air of elegant strangeness to the look.
Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka turned heads in a striking fiery red sequinned mermaid gown adorned with delicate leaf-like patterns. The look featured cut-out shoulders and long sheer red gloves. She arrived in a sophisticated white ensemble paired with a wide-brimmed white hat, before dramatically removing the outer layer to reveal the bold red gown beneath.
Nichapat Suphap

The Thai fashion consultant, editor and entrepreneur made a striking impression in a dramatic black voluminous gown. The standout feature was a series of sculptural silver hands emerging from the fabric – a powerful piece inspired by Michelangelo’s iconic fresco The Creation of Adam. The gown was created through a special collaboration between Robert Wun and kinetic artist Casey Curran.
