#legendchat: Hailey Bieber on latest Tiffany & Co’s T Collection

If there’s anyone who has adapted to life’s twists and turns, it’s Hailey Bieber. The American model, beauty entrepreneur and wife of Justin Bieber has impressed not only us but also luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co. She talks to Zaneta Cheng and Stephenie Gee about fronting her first full advertising campaign for the latest T Collection

What does it take to become a style icon? If anyone should know, it’s Hailey Bieber, née Baldwin, who from Princess Diana-inspired après-gym ensembles of oversized sweatshirts, biker shorts and chunky sneakers to ethereal white, feather-trimmed Saint Laurent gowns, has proven herself to be one of the best-dressed women across the pond.

And don’t just take our word for it. Bieber’s impact on the world of fashion is undeniable: she’s graced the covers of the most elite fashion magazines; racked up runway appearances for Moschino, Dolce&Gabbana and Elie Saab; and starred in campaigns for the likes of Ralph Lauren, Miu Miu and Versace. Now she adds another milestone to her glamorous portfolio as the global ambassador of New York jewellery brand Tiffany & Co. – joining A-listers and rising starlets, including none other than Beyoncé, the Queen B herself, Blackpink’s Rosé, Gal Gadot and Anya Taylor-Joy – and the face of its iconic T Collection.

Perched on classic mid-century chairs in one of the brand’s key T Collection designs of pavé diamond earrings and oversized pendants – perfect for stacking and layering – paired with a plunging tuxedo mini dress, grey oversized suit jacket and tailored suit pants, Bieber truly showcases and magnifies the essence of the brand, while imparting her bold personality to the Los Angeles set.

But her bond with Tiffany & Co. is about more than image. Finding power in simplicity, each T Collection design pays tribute to modernity and strength. From experiencing her own health scare – back in March, Bieber experienced a stroke-like episode from a blood clot in her brain – to Justin struggling with facial paralysis as a result of Ramsay Hunt syndrome to launching Rhode, her own two-years-in-the-making skincare brand, there’s no one more suitable, and deserving, than the 25-year-old to assert a message of strength.

What was it like shooting the latest Tiffany T campaign? How does it feel being the face of such an iconic brand?

Shooting the recent campaign was amazing. I love working with the Tiffany team. It’s always been a dream of mine to be associated with the brand and I’m so grateful to be the face of Tiffany T.

What do you like most about the Tiffany T collection and how would you wear or style the pieces?

I love the Tiffany T collection! What I love most about the collection is that you can dress it up or wear it as everyday jewellery. It’s perfectly wearable yet super chic. I love layering the pieces and mixing and matching!

Are you more of a rose, yellow or white gold person?

I am definitely a yellow-gold girl.

Jewellery is a very personal thing – what was your very first memory of Tiffany & Co. or its jewellery?

My very first memory was seeing my older sister received her first piece of Tiffany jewellery for her 16th birthday. I remember thinking what a big deal it was that she got Tiffany!

Tiffany T embodies unwavering strength and the strongest connection of all, the one with ourselves. What does that mean to you?

To me, I believe admitting when we aren’t strong is how we find strength. Being vulnerable and able to admit when we aren’t okay is a strength, and that’s something I’m working on in my life.

What has inspired you creatively recently?

Recently I’ve been very inspired by art.

Who or what has made you feel empowered recently?

Love makes me feel the most empowered. Love from family and love from my friends.

Who are some of the women that you admire in your life?

I definitely admire my mom, her gentleness and her strength. And I admire her mom, my grandma.

What’s the best advice you’ve received about staying true to yourself?

The best advice I’ve received would be to always be myself because people are drawn to me for who I am, not for anybody I try to be. That’s always stuck with me.
