Inside the Dream is the High Jewellery Maison’s inaugural documentary film told by following the footsteps of Bulgari’s Jewellery creative director, Lucia Silvestri, with appearances of the world’s most famous stars

Produced by Terminal 9 Studios and directed by emerging talent Matthieu Menu, the docufilm premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival, of which Bulgari is official Jewellery partner.

Through this film, the Maison has opened its doors to reveal the secrets and fascination behind the creation of its stunning High Jewellery collections. The feature offers an unprecedented look behind the scenes of the whole creative process.

The exciting journey from glorious gemstone to precious masterpiece follows the footsteps of Lucia Silvestri, Bulgari’s Jewellery creative director. Known as the woman who buys the most extraordinary gemstones in the world, Silvestri learnt her business directly from the Bulgari family, making her way year after year into a largely male-dominated industry.

Constantly surrounded by the beauty of the Eternal City – the Maison’s inexhaustible source of inspiration – the creative director enjoys the privilege of following every single step behind the creation of a High Jewellery masterpiece.

The film takes you from sourcing gems in Jaipur, India to Bulgari’s headquarters in Rome where unique pieces are brought into creation. Masterful artisanal production in the Bulgari Workshop – a secret location where the most exclusive jewels are crafted and undergo every stage of their journey to becoming an Haute Jewellery piece.

The ultimate purpose of a jewel is definitely to be worn. This is how Bulgari’s daily mission is intertwined with the life of five extraordinary women, longtime friends of the Roman Jeweller, such as American actress Zendaya, Italian digital entrepreneur and fashion icon Chiara Ferragni, Blackpink singer Lisa, supermodel Lily Aldridge and U.S.-based Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

A stellar cast of multifaceted women, with different backgrounds, stories and talents, united by intimate, personal and inspiring ties.

One of these stunning creations is the Serpenti Hypnotic Emerald necklace, a calibre of craft treasuring a staggering 93.83-carat Colombian cabochon-cut emerald with its sinuous body preciously set with diamonds and emeralds. As the first person ever to wear the magnificent masterpiece, Zendaya made a mesmerising arrival on the red carpet of the 78th Venice International Film Festival, unveiling to the world the breathtaking result of a year-long journey.
