Amanyara reopens with a reinvigorated look

A haven of space and seclusion among lush coastal surroundings, Amanyara, Turks and Caicos – which is situated north of Haiti and the Dominican Republic – has reopened after a seasonal closure

Amanyara’s re-emergence follows with a reimagined sanctuary following renovations of the communal spaces and select Villas. Set on the shores of a 7,200-hectare nature reserve on the island of Providenciales, the resort’s reopening unveils a complete refurbishment of its communal spaces, including its reception, restaurants and Beach Club.

An Oasis Reimagined

Amanyara, Turks & Caicos, Main Entrance Pavilion

The resort is the most recent in a long line of collaborations between the Aman brand and Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston Architects.

Its newly refreshed Entrance Pavilion makes an impactful first impression. Celebrated landscape architect, Raymond Jungles, has elevated the Entrance Pavilion with large mahogany trees now framing the picturesque views across the central tranquillity pond. Wooden backgammon and chess boards add to the space, enhancing its functionality, with the open-plan layout reconfigured to allow for greater privacy and create an atmospheric spot to spend a restful morning or afternoon.

The beach

A newly forged pathway between the Entrance Pavilion and the kitchen also welcomes a casual dining area – a shaded spot perfect for enjoying an afternoon apéritif. Across the central ponds in the Main Restaurant, a full interior renovation reveals elegant art pieces adding eye-catching focal points to the lofty dining venue, while bespoke lighting design by international designer, The Flaming Beacon, and new furniture create a warm and welcoming ambience day and night.

Culinary Delights

Amanyara’s main restaurant

This season, reinvigorated gastronomy concepts give guests the chance to enjoy the vibrant flavours of the Caribbean alongside an array of other cuisines, catering to every palate.

For those seeking a more casual dining experience down on the sand, the Beach Club has been upgraded, with multi-level decking shaded by new pergolas designed to maximise the panoramic views over the breathtaking natural scenery and turquoise waters.

Private dining experience

Also part of the renovation, the Beach Club’s bar now features an enhanced focus on contemporary mixology. An expert mixologist creates traditional and bespoke cocktails using local and rare spirits, including the resort’s own barrel-aged selection and custom ice cubes and ingredients. In celebration, the Beach Club has launched a new drinks menu, with after-dinner cocktails and specially crafted Amanyara aperitifs providing the perfect evening delight.

Pizza making at The Beach Club

Opening in 2024, the state-of-the-art and Kosher-accredited preparation areas will enable skilled chefs to create Kosher meals from the resort’s vibrant culinary offering, including The Beach Club’s Mediterranean-inspired menu, using the freshest ingredients and produce, giving all guests the opportunity to enjoy a wide-variety of culinary delights.

Private Villas

The reinvigorated look at Amanyara

Three of the resort’s luxury private Villas have undergone renovations. Located amidst the resort’s verdant gardens and serene ponds, the spacious, multi-bedroom villas offer seclusion in serene natural surroundings, with new facilities and outdoor living spaces perfect for lounging.

Living room inside the The Tranquility Villa

Nestled on a private lakefront position and offering the upmost privacy, Villa 14 has been fully refurbished, with the addition of a private pathway leading guests directly to a new yoga pavilion, the perfect spot for peaceful morning meditations. With all four bedrooms offering lake-front lounging areas or views of the lake, the refurbishment has seen the addition of an exclusively designed water feature to the private tranquility pond, providing serenity for guests of all ages.

Villa 8, a four-bedroom Tranquility Villa, has also undergone a complete refurbishment of the interior living space and expansive outdoor terrace space complete with an infinity-edge swimming pool. The Villa takes inspiration from the distinct understated elegance of Aman and the natural beauty of the surrounding luscious landscapes. The high ceilings and wood panelling ensure the living spaces blend seamlessly with the captivating scenery. Furthermore, meticulous attention has been given to the lighting design, focusing on indirect lighting throughout the entire space to imbue the architecture with a gentle and inviting warm glow.

4-Bedroom Ocean Villa Pool and Sea view

A magnificent retreat for small groups or families, each of the four bedrooms features an ensuite with deep soaking bathtub. Offering the utmost privacy and serenity, the luscious garden and terrace area has been enriched with the addition of a large Jacuzzi and a fire pit, creating two new areas for socialising al fresco.

Among Amanyara’s largest residences, the Artists Villa is perched along an exclusive stretch of white sand beach, with five bedrooms nestled amid three acres of lush private gardens and a 108-foot (33 metre) infinity swimming pool directly overlooking the sea.

Complementing the expansive sundecks, multiple alfresco dining areas and recording studio, a new private world-class wellness and fitness area has been added to the Artists Villa. This includes a state-of-the-art gym complete with high-tech Peloton bikes, a complete TRX system, a Pilates Reformer machine and a multi-station home gym. In addition, there is an expansive steam room and cold plunge pool.

Spa & Wellness, Spa Treatment Room

Amanyara’s 20 Villas are tucked along the coast or situated slightly inland overlooking tranquil ponds, affording maximum space and the utmost seclusion, with full and privileged access to the resort’s facilities. All include a dedicated host, and the three- to six-bedroom villas come with the services of a private chef.
