Jim Thompson Collaborates with Rising Thai Artist Juli Baker and Summer on a Limited-Edition Silk Scarf Collection for Mother’s Day
When the brush meets silk, something extraordinary takes shape. Jim Thompson has partnered with emerging Thai artist Juli Baker and Summer to create a limited-edition collection of silk scarves designed especially to celebrate this year’s Mother’s Day.

This exclusive release is part of the Artists-in-Residence campaign, launched by Jim Thompson in 2023 to invite distinctive Thai artists to co-create fashion pieces with the brand. The initiative continues this year with Jim Thompson Artists-in-Residence 2025: Scarf Edition, featuring three Thai artists. Juli Baker and Summer is the first to debut her designs under this latest chapter of the campaign.
Known offstage as Parn Chanaradee Chattrakul Na Ayudhya, Juli Baker and Summer is an artist, writer, and explorer whose paintings are recognised for their whimsical, semi-abstract lines and warm, summery colour palettes. Her work often explores the many dimensions of womanhood, expressed through emotive portraits of women accompanied by handwritten reflections. Both she and Jim Thompson share a belief that great design is not only beautiful but also tells a sincere and meaningful story.

For this collection, Parn created three original scarf designs titled Alisa, Plath’s Fig Tree, and Mom’s Sunflower. Each design draws inspiration from the women in her family and the broader role of women in society. With dreamlike hues and delicately rendered memories, the scarves are a personal tribute crafted by hand and heart.
The Jim Thompson x Juli Baker and Summer collection features square scarves measuring 33 inches by 33 inches, made from 100 percent silk twill. The collection is now available at all Jim Thompson stores and online at www.jimthompson.com.
