“…After the golden age of Art Deco, with its bold geometry and clean architectural lines, had passed, Van Cleef & Arpels entered a new creative chapter in the late 1930s. The Maison turned its gaze once more towards nature, reimagining the floral motif with newfound softness and sensuality. The result was the Silhouette Clip, a delicate floral brooch, whose golden contours seemed to ripple like real petals caught in a gentle breeze. Balancing fullness and void with effortless poise, each curve of gold intertwined with flowing ribbon forms, gracefully adorned with coloured gemstones and diamonds. The design became a lyrical expression of how jewellery, nature, and fashion could be woven together in perfect harmony…”

Decades later, that same poetic spirit found new life in Van Cleef & Arpels’ latest creations. Sculpted from asymmetrical yellow-gold petals, the pieces unfurl in layers of fluid curves that encircle a luminous heart of golden beads and diamonds. True to the Maison’s art of transformability, these pieces can be worn in multiple ways—whether as a radiant pendant suspended from a necklace or detached as an elegant brooch, combining grace and modernity in equal measure.
This contemporary expression continued the story of the Flowerlace High Jewellery collection, first unveiled in 2007—a meeting of couture and craftsmanship where white gold shimmered like frost beneath a constellation of diamonds. At its heart bloomed the Maison’s emblematic Fleurette motif, born in the 1920s and cherished ever since. Each airy composition in 18-carat white gold, pavé-set with bead-set diamonds, glowed with ethereal light thanks to the meticulous openwork technique that allowed radiance to pass through each stone and illuminate every curve from within.
Whether cascading in a floral necklace, adorning the décolletage with a single bloom or transforming into a refined hair jewel, every creation captured the soul of Van Cleef & Arpels—a poetic ode to nature, movement and light. In these jewels, time itself seemed to blossom, suspended between heritage and modern allure.
