What are your fitness goals for 2021?

To challenge myself and reach new goals in fitness as well as furthering my knowledge with nutrition, anatomy and personal growth. But most importantly, hoping COVID-19 will be over soon so that we can all reunite with loved ones!

Describe a typical week of workouts for you:

Five days on, two days off – with lots of walking/moving around. Lockdown is currently in place so I’m doing the best I can with what I have at home and going out for long walks, runs and hikes.

Your favourite healthy meal?

Creating my own bowl at SaladStop: rice, romaine, pumpkin, tomatoes, cucumber, sauerkraut, four spoons of eggs and balsamic vinegar!

Your favourite cheat meal?

Cheesy pizza! La Camionetta has dreamy pizzas.

Where are your fave workout spots in Hong Kong?

Joint Dynamics and F45!

What do you enjoy most about being a personal trainer?

It sounds cheesy but helping people while witnessing their growth/progress. Coming from an engineering background, it used to take years for a project to be completed, and most of the time, you’re in front of a computer and inanimate objects like concrete, steel or soil. Working with people is fulfilling because we are complicated and different from one another, so the challenge and journey for each client is unique and fulfilling!

If you weren’t a personal trainer, what would you be?

My parents said I could fall back on being a piano teacher…

How do you stay motivated?

I believe in what I do. I’ve witnessed the elderly who could’ve benefited from regular exercise or healthy habits, so I want help those, as well as myself, pave a stronger and healthier body for our future selves!
