Disc jockey

Danish luxury audio brand Bang & Olufsen has unveiled the second project in its recreated classics series intended to fulfil its promise of “creating products that can stand the test of time”. The Beosystem 9000c music system, featuring a fully restored and reimagined Beosound 9000 CD player from the 1990s paired with Bang & Olufsen’s modern Beolab 28 speakers, not only showcases the brand’s unique capabilities within sound, design and craftsmanship but also celebrates the revival of physical media such as vinyls and CDs that has taken place in recent years. It is limited to only 200 units globally.

A place in the sun

The deep clear blue of the sky, the sound of waves crashing onto the sand and the warm rosy light of sunset come together in creative director Gherardo Felloni’s High Summer 2024 collection for Roger Vivier. Incorporating the colours and taste of summer but reflecting the season’s essence rather than its form, the vibrant collection is punctuated by bold shapes, meticulously crafted details and a serene sense of joie de vivre. Key items include the Viv’ Choc bag proposed with a tie-dye effect in pastel colours like lilac, pink and yellow, the Raffia Sandals with their crystal buckle and the new Viv’ by the Sea mule with a reinterpreted square buckle.

Lap of luxury

Island Shangri-la, Hong Kong, has unveiled The Shangri-La Suite, which reinvents the art of glamorous living with a striking super suite designed as the ultimate experience for guests. The “bold new vision of modern Asian luxury” features remarkable attention to detail, from the flexible layout that can be reconfigured for special events to the collage of vintage and modern décor including hand-tufted rugs, woven wall coverings and art selected from the hotel’s extensive collection. Ideal for events and parties, the suite comes complete with an elegant foyer, sitting room and private bar, dining room, kitchen, wine cellar and guest bath.

Let’s dance

Aptly described as a dance of golden beads and diamonds, Van Cleef & Arpels’ new Perlée creations in yellow, rose and white gold create intense plays of light against the skin. Highlights include the Perlée diamonds 5-row bracelet with dazzling golden beads and diamonds arranged harmoniously in a series of diagonal bands, the gemstones brought to life through honeycomb- shaped apertures that allow light to travel through and enhance the shine of the overall piece. The Perlée diamonds duo ring and Perlée diamonds earrings also feature unique and dynamic designs that showcase the maison’s expertise in selecting and setting exquisite diamonds.

Face time

The world’s first treatment space dedicated to rejuvenating the skin using products and techniques developed by AP Beauty – the new high-end medical skincare brand formerly known as Amorepacific – has opened at Causeway Bay’s Lee Garden One. The AP Suite offers four personalised programmes in a sleek, minimalist space reminiscent of a futuristic skin lab. The treatments, which use an emotion-oriented approach to optimise relaxation, incorporate exclusive Korean acupressure massage techniques along with medical- grade patented formulas to deliver unparalleled skincare results and sensory indulgence.

Call of the wild

Italian luxury house Loro Piana is embracing all things outdoors this autumn/winter. Comprising both womens- and menswear, its Into the Wild capsule collection is designed to foster a connection with nature through a range of garments and accessories in technical fabrics and treated natural fibres that can withstand the elements – and look good doing it. The layered looks include bomber jackets, hooded parkas, anoraks, rainproof capes, vests, jumpers, trousers, leggings and shorts with innovative features such as Graphene, a membrane with outstanding heat-conducting properties, and the rain-resistant Rain System treatment.

Shop and drop

The Upper House is fusing fashion and hospitality with its new partnership with online style destinations Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter. Until October 31, 2024, guests staying in Studio 70 will receive a Net-A-Porter HK$1,000 and Mr Porter £100 credit per stay to spend on luxury brands such as Loewe, Saint Laurent and The Row plus a round of bespoke cocktails inspired by Mr Porter’s latest collection and daily breakfast at Salisterra. Guests who upgrade to an Upper Suite will receive an additional 60-minute in-room treatment for two, a Net-A-Porter HK$2,000 and Mr Porter £200 credit per stay, and access to a dedicated style concierge.

Singular sensation

Zegna’s summer 2025 fashion show explored “the fields of plurality through the paths of individuality” in the medium of linen. “Oasi Lino is not only traceable and true to our commitment to sustainability, but it is also as malleable and sensual as the idea of summer dressing we are prompting,” said artistic director Alessandro Sartori of the elongated blazers, enveloping overcoats, roomy trousers and tailored T-shirts. “There is something quintessentially Italian to this collection, in the gentry world the shapes suggest and the insouciant manner they are worn by men who play buoyantly with their own appearance.”
