What Chanel unveiled novelties at Watches and Wonders 2025 that are every bit as fashion forward as you would expect from the leading fashion maison.
There is a limited edition J12 Couture Workshop Automaton Calibre 6 that pays tribute to none other than Coco Chanel herself. The dial shows Chanel working in the iconic Rue Cambon atelier fashioning a dress with the tools of her trade in a 20-second animation brought to life by 359 components.
Limited to only 100 pieces, the timepiece’s bezel is set with 48 baguette-cut diamonds, whereas its crown is topped off with a brilliant-cut diamond, with the stones totalling around 3.34 carats. The J12 Couture Workshop Automaton Calibre 6’s new movement was designed and assembled by the Chanel Watch Manufacture in Switzerland.

There also other pieces that are inspired by pieces in the atelier. The Chanel Bust Long Necklace Couture Watch looks like a couture dummy and opens at the waist to reveal a secret watch with a black dial. It’s also got the bling factor being diamond studded and black lacquered lines running down and across it.

In addition, Chanel has launched special editions of its J12 and Boyfriend watches in pink variations, complemented by their signature beige gold. The pink hues range from a pale pink to a dark raspberry. The J12 X-Ray Pink Edition is a real stunner as it is made with pink-sapphires, as well as an 18kt beige-gold case and case back. It is limited to only 12 numbered pieces.
