Beats by Dr. Dre has partnered with Japanese brand sacai to create special edition earbuds that combine both high quality audio with fashion . The new earphones are a stylised embellished version of the popular BeatsX earphones.  

The collaboration features colourful beads studded in contrasting colours and patterns, which effectively blurs the line between fashion accessory and earbud. 

Usability-wise, its flex-form cable gives the earphones a flexible fit, while the magnetic earbuds keep the buds from tangling when you aren’t using them. One of the more unique features is how you can carry them; you can wear the earphones like a chain or bracelet when you are not listening.

Sacai first revealed the collaboration during their Autumn/Winter 2019 show where the earphones were a prominent accessory on the runway.

The new Beats by Dr. Dre x sacai cost 150USD (1188HKD) and will be available from March 5 on apple.com. They will be available in three different colours: “Burned Red,” “Deep White,” and “True Black.”
