SH Hotels & Resorts, known for its eco-conscious approach to hospitality, is expanding its portfolio in 2025 with five new properties. These hotels promise to merge sustainable design with local culture, offering guests a unique experience in urban and natural settings.

1 Hotel Tokyo | Opening 2025

Opening in the bustling Akasaka district, 1 Hotel Tokyo will mark the brand’s debut in Japan. The hotel will feature 211 rooms inspired by Japanese landscapes and traditional craftsmanship. Guests can enjoy a wellness sanctuary, an indoor pool with city views, and lush outdoor spaces. Sustainability is central to the design, making this hotel a serene retreat in the heart of Tokyo.

1 Hotel Melbourne | Opening May 2025

Located on the Yarra River, this will be the brand’s first Australian property. With 277 rooms and 114 residences, the hotel incorporates recycled materials from Melbourne’s historic rail bridges and wharves. Amenities include a wellness spa, an indoor pool, and a lobby bar overlooking the waterfront. The design draws inspiration from Victoria’s natural landmarks like the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra River.

1 Hotel Copenhagen | Opening summer 2025

Set to open in the summer of 2025, this property lies at the crossroads of Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter and historic centre. The hotel will offer 282 rooms, including 30 suites, with a Green Michelin-starred chef leading its culinary offerings. Guests can explore an urban garden, a bee hotel, or nearby parks on bicycles provided by the hotel.

Treehouse Silicon Valley, California | Opening Q1 2025

The first US property for Treehouse Hotels will open in California’s Silicon Valley. Repurposing existing structures and using modular construction methods, this playful hotel features 254 rooms with outdoor spaces and quirky interiors. Amenities include a courtyard pool, beer garden, and event spaces housed in a rustic barn-inspired structure. The design reflects Sunnyvale’s agricultural heritage while embracing modern innovation.

1 Hotel Seattle | Opening Q3 2025

Transforming the former Pan Pacific Hotel in South Lake Union, this property will offer 153 rooms with views of landmarks like the Space Needle. The redesign incorporates reclaimed wood and moss art to celebrate the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty.
