The Mandai Rainforest Resort, set to open in April 2025, offers a unique escape into the heart of nature, blending luxury with wildlife experiences
The Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree will open its doors in April 2025. This new destination sits within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a short drive from Singapore's city centre.
The resort spans 4.6 hectares and provides direct access to renowned attractions like Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. It aims to create a deep connection between guests and nature through its design and offerings.
Guests can opt between the 338 rooms that are available, including treehouses designed to mimic the seed pods of local flora. Each accommodation features private patios and views of the lush surroundings. The architecture respects existing trees, elevating wings to allow wildlife movement beneath.
Sustainability is central to the resort's mission. Rooms will have natural ventilation and systems to monitor energy consumption. Rainwater will be repurposed for flushing toilets, contributing to its status as Singapore's first Super Low Energy resort.
The resort encourages a "Mindful Reconnection with Nature" (MRR) mindset. This philosophy invites guests to engage with their environment on its terms, fostering a sense of stewardship for the planet.
Guests can participate in exclusive wildlife programmes, including guided tours and hands-on animal interactions at the nearby parks. The resort also features a spa-inspired by local traditions, offering treatments in tranquil settings.
