What could be more iconic than denim? When you double down on it. You can’t go wrong with the classic blue, but for the summer season consider white or mix and match complementary washes. Have a darker top spill over a slightly more muted pair of bottoms for an almost gradient effect. Mix in another texture to break things up, like knitwear or even a basic T.

Mary Janes are defined by the strap across the top of the shoe, but from there, designers have lots of room to play around. Alaïa added metal embellishments, while Miu Miu offered an elevated approach with a chunky heel, and Gianvito Rossi played with patterns like leopard-print suede. So, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re looking to dress it up or keep it casual. Style with socks or go for bare ankles.
