#legend100does: July 2022

We’ve asked our community for the hottest events they’ve marked down in their diaries this month. Be it art, food or entertainment, our plugged-in friends know what’s most happening

“There are two things I’m obsessed with right now: daily workouts at Family Form and weekly skincare treatments at Seoul Aesthetic. Family Form at The Upper House is a mat-based, heated ‘sculpt’ workout. I’m there daily at noon for my sweat sesh. They always have the best tunes, the most gorgeous bathrooms, and it hurts so good! If you want to look and feel good, this one’s for you. Seoul Aesthetic is a newly opened Korean beauty clinic led by Dr Janet Lee. She’s the only fully licensed Korean doctor in Hong Kong and regularly drops knowledge bombs on all the latest in skincare. I’m doing their Advanced Skin Care package which includes deep hydrating facials and their newest laser technology, which helps with pigmentation, evens out your skin tone and gives you that glow.”

“There’s nothing better than creamy cones and ice cream sandwiches to satisfy your sweet-tooth cravings and cool you down, especially in Hong Kong’s hot, humid weather. Elephant Grounds needs little introduction as the home to probably the best ice cream sandwiches in town. With travel still pretty much on hold, they’re giving us a taste and feel of Japan – which we all definitely miss – with a new limited flavour: Black Sesame Ice Cream filled with mochi, matcha cookies and topped with candied peanuts. Little Bao is another favourite. Their golden-fried bao bun ice cream sandwich is for sure on another level and the best after-dinner treat you can get. My personal favourite is definitely the salted caramel!”

“I’m super excited that the government has relaxed their social distancing measures as it means that I can finally take my son to Disneyland and Ocean Park, especially the water park. Dining-wise, I highly recommend Sushi Fujimoto by Kenichi Fujimoto – previously Sushi Saito at Four Seasons Hong Kong. If you offer him enough sake, he might grace you with his infamous futomaki!”

“I’ve been working on a new project recently, a new collection for my brand Assoh. The Bloomer collection has a completely different vibe from Assoh – it mainly uses precious materials like freshwater pearls, hoping to bring our customers a new styling suggestion and a refreshing feeling in the coming summer. The ‘We’re Born to Bloom’ pearl necklace is another item I’ve been very passionate about lately – it’s a must-have item for my recent outfits. Our showroom is located in Kwun Tong, very close to the MTR station. Everyone is welcome to visit us by appointment. I’d be delighted to share everything about my brand!”

“Even though I won’t be able to travel with my daughter to Europe before she gets vaccinated next year, it doesn’t stop me from giving her a taste of it. I can’t wait to check out Pak Lap Wan in Sai Kung with her. Besides the beautiful beach, there are some colourful houses just like the ones in Burano, Italy, behind it. Super Instagram worthy! If you want to enjoy a glass of sangria on a sunny afternoon, you need to try Rustico. This hidden gem is just outside Lai Chi Kok MTR station and it even has parking spaces for those who drive. It’s the most authentic Spanish restaurant we’ve found in Hong Kong – yummy food, good service and reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?”
