“Dinner at TABLE by Sandy Keung was fantastic! Especially the crab rice! It’s a dining destination that I would recommend to everyone (especially seafood fans!) and I definitely want to go back. As for drinks, I’m obsessed with the delicious cocktails at The Aubrey, not to mention it has impeccable service and pretty decor. I love strolling through galleries and the most recent one I went to that really blew me away with its curation was Christie’s Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art. Mr Doodle was one of my favourites. Seefood Room will be showing an all-female group exhibition, The New Feminine, featuring the works of Austyn Taylor, Hyun Jung Ji, Liane Chu and more. It’s until August 7 at Haus of Contemporary and that’s another exhibition I don’t want to miss!”

“I recently stopped by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: The Big Eight – Dinosaur Revelation exhibition at the Hong Kong Science Museum. Having never seen dinosaur skeletons before, I was so amazed by the sheer size of them. Be sure to check out the Hatzegopteryx, which is essentially a bird the size of a giraffe! The exhibition is on until November 16, so definitely check it out if you get a chance. It’s such a great opportunity to experience the magnificence of dinosaurs first-hand.”

“I’m into all the arts and crafts. Since my beloved dog Shorty passed away last year, I’ve been inspired to do more and more crafts in various ways by using different types of materials. Why is it related to Shorty? First, I made a plaster of him – a whole-body one. It probably sounds crazy and the whole journey was filled with difficulties but at least it totally extended the incredible love and soul that I could really feel. And you could use anything, from animals to insects to even just a pen. Apart from plaster, I’ve been doing another transparent silicone lately, which can contain anything you like to make a tiny accessory. Above all, besides acting as a memorial for your loved ones, these crafts could also be used as home decor, necklaces or earrings. The next material I’m definitely going to try out is cast iron!”

“The Gold Coast piazza and beach are definitely some of my favourite places in Hong Kong! I love all the palm trees, flowers and restaurants there. Imagine just putting on your sunglasses, enjoying a nice breakfast and coffee, feeling the sun and breeze around you – isn’t that just the best thing? And the sunset there is amazing. It changes every minute and it’s just a beautiful sight to walk along the coast to, not to mention it being a great spot for magic hour photos! Definitely go check it out – it’s a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.”

“Art galleries and artisanal wines have been a real cure for my summer blues this year. Brian Rochfort’s first Asia solo presentation at Massimodecarlo was a breath of fresh air, so was Arlene Shechet’s Moon in the Morning at Pace Gallery. Date nights are never dull with the city’s new offerings – think early evening sips at The Diplomat, mesmerising bites at Brut! paired with a handpicked selection of natural wines, and a late-night listening session at the Music Room in Potato Head.”

“I’ve been keeping a pretty tight schedule lately as I’m taking part in a major action movie as well as building a new female-led private event space around Sai Ying Pun. I’ve been visiting the newly launched Vamos Gym in San Po Kong (the only gym with a pro-sized MMA Octagon in Hong Kong), which has become a key training ritual for my movie shooting. When the sweet cravings hit, the doughnuts and cookies at Cookie Vission are the best pick-me-up and personally I think they’re the best in town! A must-try if you haven’t yet! When things start to wind down a bit, ’ll definitely need to pamper myself, relax and celebrate my belated birthday with spa retreats like Baku, an Okinawa-style massage/spa place; soaking up some sunshine; and enjoying some wake-surfing fun and a BBQ party all in one with Goofy Waves. Hong Kong is cramped but this city just never gets boring!”
