Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf unveils refurbished Arabian Houses

Oct 03, 2024

In a stunning reimagining that combines tradition with contemporary design, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf has unveiled its newly refurbished Arabian Houses, offering a luxurious retreat nestled within the lush landscapes of Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah. This intimate resort, known for its unique charm and tranquil ambience, invites guests to immerse themselves in a world where personalized experiences foster relaxation and connection

Each Arabian House is a jewel of heritage, featuring a traditional majlis - an Arabic sitting room - and secluded courtyards that create an inviting atmosphere for gatherings. With accommodations ranging from nine to 11 private rooms and suites, these spaces are perfect for larger family retreats or multi-generational getaways. Guests can tailor their stay to their preferences, whether lounging on the pristine beach, enjoying the serene pools, or exploring the vibrant offerings of Madinat Jumeirah.

Upon arrival, guests are treated to an enchanting experience as they glide along the resort's meandering waterways aboard traditional abra boats. This grand entrance sets the stage for a stay filled with cultural richness and authentic hospitality. The thoughtfully designed majlis serves as a hub for connection, where guests can savour local delicacies alongside complimentary daily aperitifs in an atmosphere that encourages conversation and camaraderie.

The Arabian Houses are not just about luxury; they are about creating lasting memories. Guests can participate in unique experiences such as a tree planting ceremony that leaves a legacy or enjoy whimsical visits from a candy bicycle for children. The traditional bukhoor burning ritual adds an aromatic touch to the air, enhancing the sense of peace and tranquillity throughout the property.

Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf also provides access to the vibrant offerings of Madinat Jumeirah, which boasts over 50 restaurants and bars, a private beachfront, and the blissful Talise Spa dedicated to holistic wellness. Families will appreciate the fully refurbished Kids’ Club, complete with mini-golf and engaging activities for younger guests.

Peter Roth, regional vice president at Madinat Jumeirah and general manager of Jumeirah Al Qasr, heralded the unveiling as a significant milestone in celebrating the resort's 20th anniversary. "This is a moment to honour our rich history while looking forward to the future of this treasured resort," he stated.

Roth emphasised that as demand for authentic travel experiences grows, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf remains committed to delivering traditional Arabian hospitality enriched with moments of connection tailored to each guest.

The refurbishment was led by Sahar Al Yasser, the award-winning founder of La Bottega Interiors. Her vision was to create an environment where interior design transcends the ordinary while embracing Arabian essence through an artful fusion of authenticity and contemporary aesthetics. The design features a neutral palette accented with vibrant colours and layered textures that evoke warmth and serenity. In alignment with Jumeirah’s commitment to sustainability, natural fabrics and upcycled materials were incorporated into the design process.

As Dubai’s largest resort continues its commitment to bespoke experiences - following the recent remodelling of the Malakiya Villas - the unveiling of the Arabian Houses marks a new chapter in luxury hospitality. For discerning travellers seeking relaxation and cultural immersion, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf stands as a beacon of Arabian elegance in one of the world's most dynamic cities.
