Sports label K-Swiss has officially opened its Macau flagship store at The Venetian Macau attended by an impressive lineup of celebrity guests
The grand opening event and K-Swiss “Re-Born” global new product launch fashion show were held last Friday, March 8, 2024. Featuring the new 2024 spring/summer and autumn/winter series and two joint shoe series, this year’s collection is set to redefine bespoke sports fashion.
K-Swiss’ first Macau flagship store
The ideation of K-Swiss’ Macau flagship store at The Venetian is to blend fashion, refinement and luxury when presenting its bespoke pieces. The design of the space finds inspiration from the silver-white metal style that is synonymous with light luxury. It translates to a noble, new aristocratic, sports style.
K-Swiss Club series
K-Swiss’ new 2024 spring and summer series combines sports and leisure with elite sports, which targets both subgroups of athletes and discerning consumers.
Two series are presented in ways of themes. The first is the Club series, which features casual fashion with Nicholas Tse as its brand ambassador. Another theme within this series targets the fashion elite group which raises tennis fashion to a new level.
K-Swiss Court series
The Court series focuses mainly on tennis and other professional sports – the pieces in this collection combine the latest garment technology with performance and style.
Also on display in the store is the limited edition collaboration series: K-Swiss x Karl Lagerfeld. Which is mainly based on the brand’s iconic slam shoe, Si-18.
K-Swiss K-Infinity series
Interestingly, K-Swiss took the chance to present its first ski product line which reflects the brand founder’s love for skiing. The K-Infinity line came from the creative minds of Japanese designers with rich ski design experiences. The focus went into creating styles specially designed for skiing and skiing and snowboarding, the series uses Dermizax, a material with extremely strong waterproof function, and is committed to designing ski clothing with the best functions and details.
Re-Born 2024 new series fashion show
The Re-Born 2024 new series of fashion shows showcases the high-end tail of sports fashion while exuding the brand’s new charm. A giant tennis court is used as the stage for the fashion show to show the uniqueness of K-Swiss with tennis in its genes. Pieces from both the Club series and Court professional tennis series were on show during the catwalk.
Entertainment during the event showcases tennis and dance performances under the themes: “Beyond the Arena” and “On the Field”.
The fashion show drew the attention of many celebrities and representatives from all around the region, including Korean star Rain, K-Swiss ambassador Nicholas Tse, Hong Kong singer-actor Kenny Kwan, Hong Kong singer Gin Lee, K-Swiss Taiwan spokesperson Zhou Xiaohan, Singaporean rapper ShiGGa, Mainland Chinese actor Feng Cong, singer Yu Gengyin and hip-hop singer Kong Lingqi.
Korean singer-actor Rain showed off his prowess as a singer and dancer in front of an excitable crowd. His appearance coincides with the introduction of the brand’s K-Weiss sports city series, slated to be launched in autumn/winter 2024.
This series takes urban life as the concept and combines high-functional technology. It utilises the fabric as a functional product and combines it with fashion. It is not only suitable for daily sports but also suitable for work and commuting. It uses waterproof materials and lamination technology to create the best waterproof performance to cope with various weather conditions.
Another guest performer, Singaporean rapper ShiGGa also made an appearance and represented the “On the Field” theme. The professional and functional tennis sportswear is not only stylish on but also outside the court and suitable for every season.
