As temperatures begin to rise along the Mediterranean coast, Burberry brings its unmistakable British summer sensibility to the French Riviera through a new collaboration with Hôtel Belles Rives, the legendary Art Deco hotel in Antibes, France.

Throughout Summer 2026, Burberry has taken over the hotel’s refined beach club and panoramic seaside terrace, reinterpreting the atmosphere of the Riviera through a distinctly British lens that feels at once relaxed and elegant. The brand’s signature check has been reimagined in a bespoke shade of blue inspired by Hôtel Belles Rives itself, before being woven throughout the property, from the beach club to the hotel’s original 1920s lift.

The collaboration feels particularly natural given the cultural legacy surrounding Hôtel Belles Rives. Once the home of F. Scott Fitzgerald, the hotel was where the author began writing Tender Is the Night following the success of The Great Gatsby. During the early twentieth century, it also became a meeting place for some of the era’s most celebrated literary and artistic figures, including Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein.

Equally, Burberry’s relationship with coastal culture has long been embedded within the house’s history. Since the time of Thomas Burberry, the brand has maintained a deep connection to nature and outdoor pursuits, particularly life by the water. In the early twentieth century, Burberry designed garments for sailing and maritime activities, a spirit that continues through the High Summer 2026 collection, filled with coastal motifs, swimwear, and details inspired by the brand’s longstanding heritage of adventure.

What makes the collaboration especially compelling is that Burberry has not merely placed its logo within the space, but instead created a complete summer experience rooted in Riviera living. Guests can enjoy Burberry ice creams on the terrace overlooking the sea, watch the sunset from The Fitzgerald Bar, or take part in waterskiing activities.

Among the many seaside hotels scattered across the French Riviera, Hôtel Belles Rives continues to retain a singular charm through its preservation of the golden age of travel. From its Art Deco interiors and Michelin-starred dining to the Mediterranean views that appear almost untouched by time, the property still carries the atmosphere of the era in which Fitzgerald once sat writing beside the sea.

Perhaps that is why this collaboration feels more meaningful than a conventional summer takeover. It is not simply about dressing a hotel in Burberry’s visual codes, but about reviving a world of travel, literature, and the romance of the European summer along the shores of the Mediterranean once again.
