Step into the ring: Ports 1961 x Everlast S/S 2018

After the success of Ports 1961’s collab with iconic sportswear and boxing brand Everlast for their Spring 2017 runway, the two labels have teamed up again with a new collection for Spring/Summer 2018. From Vetements’ Champion hoodies and Juicy Couture jumpsuits to Nike’s collabs with the likes of Justin Timberlake and Virgil Abloh, it’s clear that the craze over high-low fashion collabs are here to stay.

In fact, if last year’s Cheeto’s fine-dining pop-up and the recent opening of #saltbae’s Nusr-et steakhouse is anything to go by, the same can be said for brands outside of fashion as well. There’s nothing like offering a little Instagram bait through limited edition collaborations and pop-ups to get people talking – especially on social media.

It’s an exciting time to pay homage to the nostalgia many millennials have for cult brands such as Ikea, Champion and Everlast – they even dropped a collection with Supreme last year. The Ports 1961 collection revisits classic Everlast pieces and injects them with Menswear Creative Director Milan Vukmirovic’s technical know-how and unique urban aesthetics, resulting in stylish, high-quality t-shirts, sweaters, gym shorts and sweats.

Simple yet assertive, the Ports 1961 x Everlast Spring/Summer collection 2018 looks to give strength and a sense of solidarity to those who wear it.

The Ports 1961 x Everlast Spring/Summer collection 2018 is now available at Ports 1961 stores in Hong Kong.
