In honour of Father’s Day, we invited famous personalities to pen candid and heartfelt notes to their children or to dad – try not to shed a tear while reading

Dear Kayla, Irisa and Kadin, 

You are all young adults now. I’m sitting here reflecting on when you were small… I loved it when we were out walking around and one of you would get tired and need to be carried and then fall asleep in my arms, completely relaxed making that softly sleeping breath and totally trusting your life to my arms. 

Or when we would all pile onto the bed and watch Barney until you fell asleep, or when you would come home from school and run up and give me a big hug and kiss!!

And those late evenings when one of you was really sick with a bad cough or stomach flu and your mom and I had to stay up all night with you and keep you comforted, your mom was always so strong during those tough long evenings. 

I loved it when you were small ‘cause we would walk around together you would hold my hand for security or just because.

Neither of you may ever hold my hand again as we walk around town or fall asleep in my arms but one day you will have your own children and then you will know how much those moments and memories mean to us.

Your childhood times are my most cherished moments in life, and I’m so grateful to have had them. 

I love the people you have become and it is my greatest honour to be your friend and father.

I love you all so much!!! Give me a hug once in awhile. It’s the best thing ever!
