“It’s been more important than ever this past year to place our health as a priority, and one of the ways I’ve been doing that is through boxing – a fun way to let off some steam, all while making sure I stay active and in shape – with RCT Hong Kong and my coach Lennon Tsoi. All their classes are designed by Rex Tso, Hong Kong’s first-ever professional boxer, and they can also cater to your personal needs, so it’s guaranteed to be effective. Just as important as exercise is recovery, and Fitzio Fitness and Rehabilitation Clinic is where I go for my weekly repairs, as do many other professional athletes.

As restrictions have eased, restaurants are opening their doors, and Toritama is a destination I recommend. It serves great yakitori, but seats are limited, so I’ll say either go early or book in advance. If you’re looking for somewhere more fun and familial, you should check out 11 Westside and their tacos and craft cocktails. DAM:A, which is by the same team behind OBP and features creative comfort food is another great spot, and as a coffee lover, I have to mention Milanese-style café Coffelin.”

“Pre-Covid, I would always travel somewhere tropical to relax and just enjoy the sun, sea and beaches. Now, obviously, it’s not as easy to do that anymore, but luckily Hong Kong is home to many spots that make you feel as if though you’re in another country. and the Lower Cheung Sha Beach is one of those!

I love enjoying a glass of mojito and some fresh fish and chips at the Bathers Beach Restaurant. It’s right by the beach and there’s no better feeling than enjoying the sea breeze and chilling with your friends. Once the sun starts to set, you can also head down and rend a kayak and go wake surfing or windsurfing. If water sports arent’ your thing, then just sunbathing on the white sand with a book till dusk is another option.”

“I would love to try the new restaurant Auor in Wanchai by chef Edward Voon. I was so sad when his former restaurant Le Pan closed down, which I thought was the best restaurant near my office. That’s why I’m very much looking forward to try his new adventure and his philosophy in his cuisine. Besides that, I’m also looking forward to the Hong Kong Golf & Tennis Academy Town Club soft opening in New World Tower! I heard that they will have their soft launch in September but it’s still not confirmed yet.”

“Wil Fang has finally figured out how to get me working out regularly, and the answer is Renation. I can get delicious smoothies after spinning, some pizza from Carbs the moment I walk out of the gym, and dessert and coffee from Cookie DPT for the finishing touch. Now that’s what I call intense exercising.

I’m also a regular at Vivant, an F&B project by Twins Kitchen serving French cuisine with a Filipino flair. It’s the perfect balance of fine and casual dining, and a night there guarantees excellent food and even better wine selections. See you guys there!”

“It’s summer, so what better time to enjoy the sea and have some fun? Lately I’ve really been into water sports, especially wake surfing, and SeaTheWake has been my go-to. They have a great selection of boards and their coaches are super friendly and helpful too – perfect for first-timers or those going for a personal best.

As for dining, I’ve been going to Floomfloom in Tsim Sha Tsui. It’s Japanese-slash-Western cuisine and their dishes and décor are all super cute – great for taking photos for Instagram! If you’re looking for a drink, then you should also check out Tellus, a cinema-themed lounge with glitzy cocktails that will take you back to the old golden times!”
