American Independence is the theme of this year’s Met Gala and stars did not disappoint, arriving on the red carpet in looks that show off their personal style and individuality. While the year’s theme centres on American fashion heritage, attendees walked the red carpet dressed in creations by designers from around the world.
The singer brought old Hollywood drama to the red carpet with a nude tulle Oscar de la Renta Dress. She opted for low-key sparkle with an assortment of white gold and diamond bracelets and rings from Cartier.
Covered from head-to-toe, literally, in black, Kardashian arrived on the red carpet dressed in one of her favourite labels – Balenciaga. She paired her look with a long ponytail and without any jewellery.
Blackpink’s Rosé and ambassador of Saint Laurent arrived on the red carpet with designer Anthony Vaccarello, wearing one of his creations. Her short dress featured an oversized white satin bow which she paired with a floral necklace.
Poet and first-time Met Gala co-chair Amanda Gorman stepped out in an electric blue dress and braided hair. She completed her look with diamond earrings and rings from Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie Collection.
