From now till 6 August 2021, Dior has set up a pop-up store in Central, Hong Kong dedicated to its new Dioramour capsule collection. Created by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the collection draws inspiration from the world of fairy tales.
At the pop-up store, something you’ll notice right away is the chessboard background complete with giant chess pieces and the colour palette that screams the Queen of Hearts. With plenty of little red hearts that are scattered throughout the collection, we can definitely see the Queen of Hearts wearing this collection in a modern reboot of the classic story, Alice in Wonderland.
The collection features an well-rounded ensemble of ready-to-wear items, accessories and handbags. Dior staples like the Dior Addict Sneaker and Dior Book Tote have received the Dioramour treatment, which are now decked out in black, white and red. Even homeware items, like mugs and plates, are available with an adorable checkerboard and heart design.
As cool as the clothing is, it’s the accessories in the collection that steal the show – our favourites include the Dior Caro Heart Pouch and the Dior Tribales Earrings. The pouch is available in white and red and perfectly goes with the current trend of microbags, while the earrings with pearl details and dangling charms bring a touch of whimsy to any outfit.
It might be overkill on all the heart-themed items, but it’s just impossible to resist the fun pop of scarlet that the hearts add. For the daring, try matching the bracelet, necklace and earrings – it’s hearts on hearts on hearts!
