Art Central 2021 returns in May: Here’s what to expect

Art-lovers who’ve been deprived of real-life art fairs thanks to the ongoing pandemic can breathe a sigh of relief as Art Central is slated to return to Hong Kong in physical form from 20 to 23 May 2021.

The sixth edition of the popular art fair is presented in partnership with United Overseas Bank (UOB) and will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. With exhibitors coming from all over the world, this is your chance to see works from Asia’s new generation of artists alongisde international talents.

Art Central’s 2021 Curatorial Director André Chan has organised Yi Tai 異體 Sculpture & Installation Projects, which is made up of large-scale installations and spatial interventions incorporating elements of sculpture and new media art.

Don’t miss out on the talks programme titled “角度 Gok Dou LIVE by Asia Society Hong Kong Center”, which is organised by Art Central’s education partner, Asia Society Hong Kong Center. There will also be a commercial group exhibition called “Here/There”, which features works presented by galleries from all over the world. On top of all that, an all-new digital platform called “Art Central Capsule” will be launched for collectors and fans alike to take part in Art Central in a virtual manner.
