Capella Taipei joins the line of luxury landmark in Taiwan's capital
Mar 25, 2025
Luxury hotel group Capella unveils its first property in Taiwan, blending contemporary design with local culture in the heart of Taipei.

Capella Hotel Group will open Capella Taipei on 1 April 2025, marking the brand's entry into Taiwan's luxury hospitality market. The 86-room urban sanctuary sits in Taipei's Dunhua North Road district, a prime location connecting guests to the city's business core and cultural attractions.
The hotel features 78 rooms and eight suites, including six accommodations with private pool terraces. Its crowning jewel, the 228-square-metre Capella Suite, offers views of the Taipei 101 skyscraper.
Cristiano Rinaldi, president of Capella Hotel Group, said, "Our entrance into Taipei aligns with Taiwan's vision to elevate its position as a premier destination for discerning global travellers."

The property's design, a collaboration between Tokyo-based Mori Building Group and interior designer André Fu, aims to create a "modern mansion" concept. Fu's vision balances luxury with cultural heritage, reflecting Taipei's multifaceted spirit through light-filled spaces that connect indoors and outdoors.
The property offers personalised service and cultural immersion through its signature brand programmes. The Living Room serves as a guest lounge where Capella Culturists (expert storytellers) design bespoke experiences - all of which are tailored to individual interests.
On the other hand, Capella Curates provides a collection of exclusive, carefully crafted experiences that connect travellers to Taipei's master artisans, culinary virtuosos, and historic landmarks. These programmes reveal hidden narratives and authentic stories that define the city.

The hotel features four versatile venues for elegant occasions. The Grand Salon, spanning 150 square metres, boasts a lofty ceiling and lush garden views. The Drawing Room, at 90 square metres, includes a built-in LED screen.
The Gallery, covering 107 square metres, offers floor-to-ceiling windows, an open kitchen, and a wine cellar. Two intimate Boardrooms, each 18 square metres, feature curved vaulted ceilings, advanced technology, and natural light.

The hotel's wellness facilities draw inspiration from celestial rhythms, with barrel-vaulted ceilings evoking a sense of serenity. The Capella Spa aims to guide guests through a journey of holistic transformation and well-being.
Capella Taipei joins the brand's portfolio of properties worldwide, including locations in Singapore, Sydney, Shanghai, Hainan, Hanoi, Ubud, and Bangkok. The Bangkok property was recently named the "World's Best Hotel" by World's 50 Best Hotels.
