Aug 08, 2024

Discover the enchanting Palace Voyages collection by Boghossian, a stunning high jewellery line inspired by the architectural splendour of fourteen iconic palaces from East to West. This exquisite collection, unveiled at the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, showcases over 70 unique pieces that blend artistry and history, inviting admirers to embark on a luxurious journey through time and space

In a breathtaking display of artistry and innovation, Boghossian has once again captivated the world of haute joaillerie with its latest high jewellery collection, Palace Voyages. Unveiled in the opulent Salle Empire at the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, this extraordinary assemblage of over 70 pieces is a masterclass in gemstone artistry and architectural inspiration.

Drawing from the splendour of fourteen distinct palaces across the globe, Palace Voyages is a testament to Boghossian’s unparalleled ability to translate architectural marvels into wearable works of art. From the enigmatic Qianlong Palace in Beijing to the exotic charm of Brighton Pavilion, each piece in the collection tells a story of cultural richness and royal grandeur.

Creative director Edmond Chin’s visionary approach shines through in every meticulously crafted jewel. “The particular characteristics of these unique places seemed to almost unconsciously imprint themselves into the pieces – with very unusually beautiful effects,” Chin remarks, highlighting the collection’s organic evolution from concept to creation.

Highlights of the collection

The collection’s standout pieces include a bracelet inspired by Bangkok’s Grand Palace, featuring an intricate array of kite-, trapezoid-, and square-shaped diamonds that dance with light and movement. Another showstopper is a necklace influenced by Potsdam’s Sanssouci, boasting a mesmerising cobweb of square-cut diamonds that captures the palace’s delicate rococo aesthetics.

Boghossian’s signature techniques are on full display throughout the collection. Exquisite inlay work, special cutting, and masterful carving combine to create pieces that are not just jewellery, but true objets d’art. A particularly striking example is a necklace inspired by the Alhambra in Granada, which transitions from white to yellow diamonds in a gradient that mimics the play of light on the palace’s iconic wooden ceilings.

An Invitation to Experience

For those who missed the grand unveiling, fear not. The maison has graciously extended the celebration with an exhibition in the Salle Empire until July 20th, offering an intimate look at these extraordinary creations.

Palace Voyages is more than just a collection; it’s an invitation to embark on a global journey through the lens of Boghossian’s unparalleled craftsmanship. Each piece serves as a passport to a world of beauty, history, and architectural wonder, cementing Boghossian’s position at the forefront of high jewellery innovation. This is not just jewellery; it’s a wearable odyssey through time and space, waiting to adorn the necks, wrists, and ears of those who dare to dream of diamonds and precious gems.

And as we would have it, some of the Palace Voyages pieces are on tour in Hong Kong until late autumn 2024. Check them out when you have a chance.
