On 23 May, Simpson Marine successfully hosted the second edition of the Axopar Adventure Day, gathering a growing community of boating enthusiasts for a day defined by high-energy exploration and wellness

The journey kicked off with a fleet of Axopar boats and Highfield tenders departing from South Bay. Cruising in unison, the group made its way to Po Toi Island, Hong Kong’s southernmost outpost and a beloved sanctuary for local seafarers. Guests stepped ashore for a classic seafood lunch at the legendary Ming Kee Seafood Restaurant. Because the iconic waterfront landmark permanently closed its doors on May 31, the stopover was charged with a profound sense of nostalgia, giving participants a rare opportunity to be among the final patrons to experience its storied history.

Leaving Po Toi behind, the fleet charted a course for Round Island, turning the secluded shoreline into a vibrant beach party. Guests vibrated to open-air DJ sets by Jessie Li, found their centre during beachside yoga sessions, and hit the water for paddleboarding, kayaking and competitive beach games.

More than a simple day trip, the event beautifully brought to life Axopar’s core philosophy, which is nothing connects us deeper, to nature, to ourselves and to one another, than shared moments on the open sea. This year’s gathering carried an even deeper significance as it coincided with World Boating Day, amplifying the brand’s global mission to inspire more people to embrace life on the ocean waves.
