The Grounds returns to AIA Vitality Park for its second season of open-air activities and entertainment
From October 13 onwards, one of Hong Kong’s most anticipated outdoor entertainment spaces of 2022 will open its doors with an extensive programme of activities. Tickets are already available on its website.
Bringing new pods, new food options and blockbuster movies, The Grounds brings a schedule packed with movie nights, children’s entertainment, wellness and fitness sessions.
Simon Wilson, managing director at The Grounds promises an “even more premium guest experience” with the return of its event. “Hongkongers we surveyed said they would come back and that they want more – more movies, more kids activities, and more food, so that’s exactly what we’ve planned.”
With its enormous LED screen and state-of-the-art sound system, The Grounds ensures a top-quality entertainment experience for everyone.
New pods
This fall season, guests can choose from three pod options which are all allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The original Classic Pods now include four upgraded deck chairs; the all-new Prime Pods feature B Project “sofa-style” chairs in prime viewing locations; and there are also five exclusive Luxe Pods that are larger and more extravagant with a mix of chairs and sofas, and a bottle of champagne or premium wine available on arrival.
Programme
The Grounds is introducing multi-movie and movie marathon tickets. The rundown of movie titles is now available on the event website and social media channels.
The organisers are also continuing their collaboration with Basehall for a full al-fresco drinking and dining experience, bringing new items to the menu including signature dishes from Francis, Return of Lemak, Bengal Brothers, and Benko by Nüte. Guests can still order food from the comfort of their private pod through The Grounds’ seamless mobile ordering system.
Family experiences
Group activities for family and friends are available, whether it is a wind-down after work, outdoor yoga or weekend activities with children. Check out The Grounds’ schedule for new children’s entertainment, wellness sessions by Lululemon, sustainable well-being workshops by Rituals and as mentioned above, a line-up of a wide range of films in partnership with Golden Scene.
In adherence to social distancing rules
As the city’s first socially distanced designed space, guests will be required to pre-register when purchasing a ticket, temperature checks will be done at the entrance, and face masks will continue to be mandatory when moving through the venue.
