ICONSIAM has joined forces with Bennovo Studio, the creators of the spirited “MAMA KAKA” character, to launch the artist’s first major solo showcase: “MAMA KAKA Solo Exhibition: The Beauty of Growing Old.” This exhibition captures the elegance of ageing and the passage of time through a kaleidoscope of colour, emotion, and inspiration. The show runs from today until 6 May 2026 at Wattana Hall, Floor 3, ICONSIAM.
At the grand opening, the visionary creators behind MAMA KAKA— Eakasit Chankong and Vissarut Suebprasit —took to the stage to share the profound inspiration behind their work. They explored the “Young at Heart” philosophy and the steadfast belief that while age is merely a number, style remains eternal. The duo offered an intimate look at how their character design intertwines memories, love, and a sense of playfulness that transcends generations.
Adding to the event’s star power, celebrity enthusiast Mew-Suppasit Jongcheveevat joined a special talk to share his personal admiration for the charming character. He reflected on finding life’s small joys regardless of age, bringing a vibrant energy and an infectious smile to the warmly inspired audience.
MAMA KAKA herself is a fashion-forward grandmother defined by her signature pastel palette, a crown of colourful blossoms, and her loyal yellow monster companion. She embodies a spirit of happiness unconfined by the calendar. The exhibition presents MAMA KAKA in various forms, offering a deep dive into the artists’ emotional connection to the beauty of maturing. Visitors can explore this narrative through an immersive experience spanning six distinct zones across the hall.
At the heart of the exhibition stands the “MAMA KAKA Flower” giant balloon—a towering 4.5-metre spectacle surrounded by a sea of vivid blooms. The space features numerous photo opportunities and relaxation spots, allowing guests to soak in the joyful atmosphere. For collectors, the Merchandise Shop offers an array of delightful items from Bennovo Studio, ranging from limited-edition Art Toys to exclusive souvenirs. In a special collaboration, Toyholic x Bennovo Studio presents exclusive pieces available only at this event, ensuring a truly unique experience for every visitor.
