Home to arguably the most recognisable monogram in the fashion world, Louis Vuitton has finally unveiled their Autumn/Winter 2020 campaign. But for the first time in the French maison’s recent history, creative director and designer Nicolas Ghesquière has taken up the role of photographer too.

The highly intimate campaign sees the designer’s close friends and forever muses in front of his lens. Léa Seydoux, Dina Asher-Smith, Sora Choi, and Akon Changkou were among 20 individuals invited to Ghesquière’s photography studio and home on the Quai Voltaire, Paris.

“I liked discovering new connections with people I knew already… Moving into photography came from a desire to reflect the feeling we share when we’re working on a collection”

In the perfect marriage of current with timeless, four of the most iconic LV bags (read: the Capucines, the Twist, the Dauphine and the Pont 9) are styled alongside the A/W 2020 collection. The campaign showcases the new “SINCE 1854” line, where bomber jackets, bag straps and sporty parkas are given a new life- a floral monogrammed jacquard life, to be exact.

The campaign will be featured in publications worldwide come September.
