We’ve asked our community for the hottest events they’ve marked down in their diaries this month. Be it art, food or entertainment, our plugged-in friends know what’s most happening

Jesamine Poon @jbwhateverforever

“This Covid situation has given me so many new hobbies and successfully made me an artisan. I’m taking classes with my boyfriend at Coffeer to learn about coffee and hand drip. Turns out there is a lot of philosophy and science involved. Also, I’m taking pottery class at Chi Man Ceramics. Out of all the art I’ve done, I enjoy ceramics the most because of the blindness from the finished product. Every step counts, literally. These hobbies are good exercises for my instincts.”

“It’s been a challenging couple of years for all of us and of course, like everyone, I’ve been enjoying a lot more home life and honing my cooking skills. Surprisingly, though, lots of really great restaurants and bars have opened during this time – lunches and daytime drinking became my indulgences. I’d like to call out Rex Wine & Grill with chef Nate Green at the helm, Grand Majestic Sichuan – the latest concept from Black Sheep Group, and Mostly Harmless bar from world-renowned mixologist Ezra Star, as three of the best.”

“During the pandemic, I’ve realised I need to focus more on the growth of my inner self and question the purpose of my life. A quiet and refreshing location in the middle of nature is definitely the place to be. Long Ke Wan beach is definitely in my top three getaway locations in Hong Kong. You can easily recharge with an abundance of life flowing around you – from tadpoles in the river to the cows chilling in the glow of the sunset, it all feels like a daydream.
PS: bring your boyfriend with you to build a fire and carry your bags!”

“Something I’ve been very interested in lately is NFTs. After months of exploring with my team at my accessory brand Natashatini, we finally launched our first NFT collection, which is also an e-membership card for customers where they can enjoy a lot of rewards and benefits, such as discounts and giveaways. An NFT is not just a jpeg and I hope to explore the NFT market with more people in the future!”

“I’ve been having a lot of fun making Reels. The response has been overwhelming and it’s so nice to see my little community grow. I can’t wait to show them a project that I’ve been working on and I really hope it exceeds their expectations. Now that restrictions are lifted and summer is around the corner, I can’t wait to dress up with my gals and indulge in delicious food at the most scenic places overlooking the Victoria Harbour. I love Fortnum & Mason, Hue and Petrus.”
