Lamborghini stays slick at 60 with round-the-year global celebrations

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Automobili Lamborghini is organising a series of events worldwide throughout this year

Each event will be unique to engage Lamborghini owners, the official Lamborghini Clubs, dealerships and fans all around the world.

The celebrations have already begun. On January 19, the remodelled Lamborghini Museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the original factory area, was opened. The museum was revamped especially for the celebrations with an exhibition entitled The Future Began In 1963.

Next up is The Lamborghini Day Japan – 60th anniversary, to be held on February 23 in Suzuka – Japan. This marks the first international event of the celebrations. Hundreds of enthusiasts and collectors are expected to gather there.

In the United Kingdom, Lamborghini Day UK will be on April 29. Held at Silverstone Circuit, over 300 Lamborghini owners are expected to attend.

The 60° Anniversario Giro tour in Italy concludes on May 28 in the main square of Bologna with a concours d’elegance and festive party open to the public.

In the United States, the 60th Anniversary Giro is scheduled for this summer. More details will be forthcoming for plans in the most important market for Automobili Lamborghini.

Over in Mainland China, Lamborghini customers will participate in its signature “Giro China” for the ninth consecutive year this September. The Chinese Mainland is Lamborghini’s second largest single market so enthusiasts are expected in droves to round up the celebration with the 60th Anniversary Gala Dinner.

Also in September, the brand’s motoring heritage division Lamborghini Polo Storico will organize the 60th Anniversary Polo Storico Tour reserved for Lamborghini classic cars in Italy.

Track-oriented cars will get their shine in October at the Vallelunga circuit in Rome, which plays host to the very first Lamborghini Festival.

What happens in Rome, also stays in Rome. In November, the Grand Finals of the Super Trofeo Lamborghini, the one-make championship reserved for the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 racecars, will be held at the Vallelunga circuit.

With official Lamborghini Clubs in 24 countries and more than 1600 members, more anniversary tours and events will be announced. A number of tours in Italy with their final destination the Lamborghini headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese are also in the works.
