Matt Orr is one of Hong Kong football’s rising talents, currently playing as a forward for Shenzhen Peng City in the Chinese Super League. Nicknamed “Hong Kong’s Cristiano Ronaldo” for his attacking style and on-field charisma, Orr began playing football at just four years old under the influence of his father, a former professional player from New Zealand. He later trained at the Kitchee Academy before continuing his development at IMG Academy in Florida and the University of San Francisco. After making his professional debut with Kitchee SC in 2020, Orr became the all-time top scorer for Guangxi Pingguo Haliao.
